We have been coming to the plantation for 18 years. It is in a great location and we have always enjoyed the family atmosphere. We stock up and stay at the resort for the entire week. It has always been a bit expensive for often outdated decor etc but the location and facilities more than made up for that. This... more

This was our 4th stay at Gulf Shores Plantation and as usual we were very pleased. Beware, they have different "levels" of condos here (I've forgotten the rating names), but the lower rated ones are fairly well used and not the cleanest. Get one of the nicer ones and you won't be disappointed. The money isn't that much different anyway.... more

One could tell they were preparing for the tourist months ahead. The landscaping crew were trimming the hedges, the flowers were all lovely, the pool areas were very nice, everyone was courteous. The board walk was clean with several areas to wash the sand off your feet. The beaches were lovely and clean. They just need to get the internet... more

This was our first trip to GulfShores Plantation. After reading some of the reviews I was a little worried but after we arrived I saw that it was in better condition than everyone said. Our room was clean, and comfortable. It had everything that we needed and then some. The pools were right near our room and the beach was... more

This was our second year at the Plantation. We love it. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The pools and hot tubs were clean and we used all of them but one that was under construction, but it's nice to see it being upgraded. The view was spectacular. We will be going back year after year with... more

We stayed at the Gulf Shores Plantation January, and February 2009. (Building 3) The condo was fantastic. Our unit was clean, and modern. It had been recently remodeled, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The built in washer and drier saved us a lot of money. The owner we rented from was great. The condo complex was another... more

We are sorry for any inconvenience experienced by Up_Up_And_Away, jk506 and joefish during their recent stays at Gulf Shores Plantation. Four whirlpools and one outdoor pool were closed as required by the Federal Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. The Act requires public pools and whirlpools to be equipped with new drain covers. The anti-entrapment devices are backlogged...

If you like indoor pool, sauna, and steam room make sure you have footwear with tiger paws because the slippery tile floor is a major hazard, designed by a single -digit-IQ designer. Great location for a litiginous person - nice way to make some money in this depressed economy. If you like hot tubs, forget it - they are closed,... more

We read several reviews after booking and were apprehensive about what we would get, especially in #2204 (Rob's Condos). We had a great oceafrontview, the beach was very clean, it was so peaceful. Sure is was 12 miles back to town-but we didnt cometo hang out there. The complex was getting someearly seasonal maintenance so not allmpools and jucuzzis were... more

Booked a room with indoor pool, it was not, on arrival the toilet had pubic hair on the rim, and food crumbs on the refridgerator, housekeeping came and cleaned, the tv was snowy because we were at the end of the cable line??? The jacuzzi that was in the building was out. Manager Jim want to switch rooms for another... more

We are staying here for the month of February. I love the location. I love that this area is more secluded and my kids have the whole beach to run and play on. I love that there are not so many people out here that it is difficult to find my kids amidst the crowds. We are really enjoying biking... more
