Did not stay at hotel, visited restaurant. Unfortunately this restaurant does not do a good job with their food. Too expensive for mediocre fare. My fish tasted as if it were fried in oil, not cooked "Japonaise" as the menu described. No umph, no taste. My appetizer [baked oysters w/???] were cold, and also had no flavor. The rice mix... more

When I found out I'd be coming to Florence, I wasn't exactly excited. This hotel was a big surprise, and in a good way. Arrived around 6 PM after a long day of driving. Check in was fast and efficient. Assigned a fifth level room (6 levels total), with a nice view of the pool area and overlooking the Tennessee... more

*Long line at afternoon check in with only one employee working front desk. After line dwindled down second employee arrived to help front desk. Wait time 10 min. *Minimum parking. After carrying my bags to the front and only entrance bellboy was nowhere to be found. Wait time 10 min and would have been longer; until I finally decided to... more

Just returned from two nights on a girls getaway trip. I had read good reviews on Trip Advisor so we decided to meet in the middle and try this Marriott. The reviews were spot on, and we had a really nice weekend. We got connecting rooms, and the rooms were very nice-every room has a balcony that overlooks the river... more

My husband and I are originally from Florence, so whenever we have to go back there, we always try to stay at the Marriott. It's a beautiful hotel with luxurious rooms, a great pool, and accommodating staff. The parking is free, but not plentiful. If you get in late at night, be prepared for a bit of a hike. Also,... more

The rooms were superb. the 360 grill was a bit pricey. they serve the same steaks in the Bronzeback located on the main floor. There were fireworks at 10:00pm because according to the manager there were some "vip's" in the hotel that night. overall this is a beautiful hotel with everything located right up the street. the mall and plenty... more

We had stayed at a b&b for one night and decided to check into the Marriott the next day. The room was really nice and spacious with a great view of the TN River. The hotel bar was very nice and breakfast was good. The hotel even shuttled us up town for dinner one night and came to pick us... more

My husband and I love weekend getaways. We usually go to Nashville since it's only about 2 hours away and my husband LOVES live music. We have travelled to many other music "hot spots" over the years. So who would have guessed that the Mariott Shoals would become our new favorite weekend getaway destination? We live about 45 minutes away... more

I just completed my 5th stay at this hotel and I must say it was just as good as all the previous stays. While the hotel is now 3+ years old it is still in excellent condition. There is little to complain about this hotel but I must say I wasn't thrilled with the house keeping during our stay. The... more

When we heard Marriott was building a resort in Florence, we anxiously awaited its arrival and it was worth the wait. We have stayed here twice now. It is a beautiful, elegant hotel. The entrance is impressive. Parking is free. All of the rooms face the Tennesse River providing a view of both pool and river. Each room has a... more
