I'm George and JoAnn's up the street neighbor. Due to Joann's deteriorating health, they made the decision to close the Candlelight Inn on May 15, 2014, since George is no spring chicken, and was just unable to carry on by himself. It is still their home, but the sign is down, and they are no longer accepting guests. It's a... More

My wife and I stopped at this bed and breakfast for a stop between our home and Atlanta. This is a beautiful antique home, with numerous rooms and two floors. The owners are really nice folks and very accommodating. We enjoyed the suite upstairs and it had a very warm fireplace. Very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and we were even... More

I recently spent a weekend with Joanne and George in their beautiful, historic, comfortable inn. This was my second visit with them and there will be more to come. What a delightful couple; they make you feel as if you are in your own home. The breakfast they served each morning was delicious and beautifully served. George even entertained us... More

George and JoAnn are true B&B pros, sweet and friendly and helpful. The house is remodeled and decorated in lovely antiques, but comfortable. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms modern. We stayed in the Suite, which is positively palatial, with a large porch/deck. Old photo and scrapbooks were tucked inside desks and drawers. The breakfasts were home-cooked and delicious, with... I am admittedly biased, since I live almost across the street from the Candlelight Inn. George and Joanne run a great B&B. George is always working, hot or cold, to keep the ground immaculate. The Inn is on a street of historic homes (mine being one of them), and the next three streets over from the Inn have some of... More

What a delight. We stayed two nights in early December, celebrating our anniversary. We were greeted by the elf-like Joanne, who showed us to our room and gave us a tour of the house – an impressive ante-bellum mansion, renovated to have all the modern conveniences, including surround sound in every room, and wi-fi for those who want to keep... We stayed for two nights on our way to Mobile and celebrated our anniversary. The Inn is filled with wonderful antiques and generations of beautiful needlework. The owners were wonderful and accomodating. We enjoyed walking around downtown and seeing all the historic homes and buildings. We echo the great reviews already written and enourage anyone looking for a quiet, charming... More

Very nice couple from Michigan transplanted to the Deep South. The Inn was completely renovated by a previous owner. All rooms have their own bath. Queen (not King) beds in the rooms. Rooms are very large as are the bathrooms. Hundreds of cross stitch and needle points adorning the walls. Breakfast was simple but good. Eggs came from the neighbor's... More

What a wonderful find in Eufaula, just off Hwy 431, on W.Barbour St. We had looked into staying at the usual hotel chains, and decided to instead stay at this B&B. JoAnne welcomed us and showed us the Red room we had selected. She also showed us the other available rooms. Each has its own character and amenities. Overall the... More

We had a very comfortable stay for a night whilst travelling. We were made very welcome. The suit had a good large bathroom, and a nice bedroom with two easy chairs and a very comfortable bed. Everything was spotless and the WiFi very fast. Parking right outside the house. Breakfast was freshly cooked at the time we requested.
