With a bird sanctuary attached to the campsite, and the ocean only steps away, we loved our stay here. The gulf offers warm waters, and Dauphin Island is a hidden gem along its shores. Fishing is fantastic. Facilities at the campsite are well maintained, the owners are accessible and flexible on payment should you need to leave early. All in... More

My wife and I had never heard of Dauphin Island until we were invited to go camping with friends of ours. I'm not a big Gulf Coast guy for to me, it's not really the ocean but we thought might as well go, if nothing else just to be with our friends. We are both certainly glad we did !... More

It's a little tough to nail down this review because this is a mixed bag. It is a great location. You will likely have a great time due to the close proximity of the beach, bird sanctuary, good fishing, and attractions like Ft Gaines. So here is what I think is helpful to know: 1. It's better to carry everything... More

Wonderful best kept secret in the Gulf Coast. We traveled from WI with our travel trailer and found the campground to be a great respite from the cold and unending winter. The facilities and staff were excellent. The "snow birds" were welcoming and warm. We found this to be a great place to get off the grid for a while.... More

Nice RV Park. Full of Retired "snow birds" on our visit in February. Its obvious that some of the folks are here for a long time and you get the feeling that folks know one another. Everyone is very friendly, The ladies in the office could not be nicer or more helpful. We like trees and shade and there would... More

We arrived with no reservations and were allowed to choose our own 30 amp spot. (we chose Y32) It seemed that most spots did not have a concrete parking pad, but the larger 50 amp spots did have a small concrete area for the picnic table. There were at least two 30 amp sites that were more shaded and private... More

We stayed in tent site #9 on Oct 11th and 12th and it was beautiful. We loved the island the minute we arrived and the campgrounds were easy to find. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Everyone on the grounds seemed to be having a great vacation, I know we did! Tent area was clean, level and shaded. The... More

My husband & I have stayed @ the campground about 6times. Each time it has been a great place "rest, relax, & enjoy". We noticed the bath house as gotten a facelift this year. The pavilion could still use some work & tent site 17 does not have enough shade for those extra hot months but other than that it... More

We stayed here for 2 nights (the minimum required to reserve) in our travel trailer. The spot we were assigned was very tight and uneven. We carry several leveling blocks with us and did not have enough to level our trailer. The atmosphere was like being at a tailgate party - this does not really bother us but if you... More
