We stayed at the Boa Viagem Praia Hotel for the World Cup in June of 2014. You get what you pay for. Small, but clean room. Good food. Friendly staff. Nice sized fridge in each room. Great location. Short walk to the beach.

Rooms are small, bathroom even smaller, dirty, smelly, AC makes too much noise. Needs as soon as possible a full renovation. Stayed because the company was paying, but would never spend my own money in this hotel. Staff is friendly and the location is good.

This hotel may not be 5 star but its staff makes up for it. From day one of my stay here at BVP I have had the best service I could ask for. The receptionists Alberto, Arthur, Rebeka, and Eliana are always willing to help out with either directions, room changes, interpretation, and even offer friendly advice. Their cooking staff... The hotel is old and not well maintained. The reception is good by the employees but the condition air is to noise, pillows are awful, and the bed is reasonable. For this price you can get better hostel in Recife. The breakfast is poor and nobody care about you.

Stayed in Dec 2013 and it was a really bad experience. There is no parking for taxis available, when I was there just one elevator was working and internet worked just the first night. There is no service, the frigobar was empty and if you need something you need to call room service until 10 pm or bring it from... More

The best feature of this hotel is its location across the street from the ocean. The accommodations are much to be desired. The rooms smell of mildew. The hotel hallway looks like a poorly maintained dormitory rather than a hotel. The hotel is in need of painting, cleaning and replacing windows and antiquated elevators. When I stayed at the hotel... More

What a pity. A wonderful location, a very nice staff, a clean towels and linned, reasonably clean room and bathroom. But some refurbishing is badly needed- room walls should have been painted some years ago, the air conditioning system IS noisy (as noticed in other reviews) and the common areas of the hotel look much worse kept than the rooms.... The hotel is located across the street from the beach and the view from my room was beautiful. The room itself was musty (there were black spots on the floor by the windows) and the twin beds were very uncomfortable. The draperies didn't close properly so light from the street streamed in. Breakfast was included, but not a lot of... More

I stayed here with two friends for three days while working with mangrove crabs. Even though I arrived way after midnight, the check-in was simple, and clerk was helpful and sent up warm towels and sheets for the third bed. Although crowded, the room was adequate with a good strong shower located in a reasonable space. I enjoyed the front... More

Great location shame about the hotel. Dated and run down there are many others in the area that are much nicer. Bit far from towm but good bus service and taxis are reasonable and don't seem to take you ona world tour in Recife....
