Hotel Aconchego is well located a few blocks away from Boa Viajem beach and 5 min away from an excellent Carrefour supermarket. Staff is very efficent and proactive and the lunches/dinners are really delicious. Rooms are comfortable but ours did not have any window with natural sun light access, as it was located on the ground floor sided by an... More

We booked this hotel for World Cup, which was booked at a 280% mark up (yes I did the math). I was expecting a mark up for the World Cup, so this I wasn't really surprised by. What I did realize though, is that this is the philosophy of management here. FIFA recommended that fans use the metro to get... More

The room i stayed was terrible. Dirty old and rundown. The AC was noisy and the TV had fuzzy channels. Did not shower because of dubious aspect of bathroom. The common areas are much nicer and breakfast is Ok. For the price, you can find a better place. Stayed one night and was happy to leave.

The staff was extremely friendly helping us find buses, taxis, restaurants and giving us information about Recife and Boa Viagem. The inner courtyard is beautiful for a tranquil breakfast. However, rooms are average: small and basic. We had to change rooms when our toilet clogged. It's conveniently located 2 blocks away from a big supermarket.

We stayed in this hotel this Easter, the toilet was blocked at our arrival.I asked for a repair and they said it was fixed it. But broke again. The room was old with a window looking at the wall. Also dirty room. The next day, i complained about the toilet and after breakfast our electricity was cut-off, also no phone... More

This so called hotel looks like a local pousada indeed. The place was built up along the years so you will find very different rooms around the whole building. Unfortunately, some rooms are in bad shape while others are okay. Breakfast is good (if not too busy) and restaurant is also okay. Staff is attentive and very polite.

We stayed here about 20 years ago on my first visit to Brazil. It was recommended in the Rough Guide then - it may still be. It's small, being long and narrow but is comfortable and reasonably priced. It's a street or two back from the beach in a nice area of Recife. We got about by bus when we... More

Good ambience, cosy restaurant (24/7!), friendly staff, some even speak English! Nicely located near the beach and big shopping mall. Rooms near loundryroom can be a bit noisy. Tourist agency in the hotel, which is very nice!

There are so many disappointing/awful things about this hotel that I am almost at a loss as to where I should start. I will try and give everyone a complete and precise list of the flaws: The bed: - Lumpy and Uneven, offering the unique experience of sleeping at an angle to the customer. - The sheets and mattress contained... I have been in Recife several times now and the city has clearly got a problem with its hotel capacity. It is very difficult to find a good hotel for an affordable price in this city. Keeping this in mind,t he Hotel Aconchego is a good option in Recife. It is relatively near the airport (taxi 12 reais) and near... More
