Infrastructure could still do with some improvement. I noticed over my 5 nights here that there was ongoing maintenance work and sprucing up of the paintwork. There is no lift to the upper-most floor so this may pose a 'discourager' for people who prefer not to walk up the 3 flights of stairs. If however you don't mind the stairs,... More

Pleasant hotel that is old and tired. The breakfast was OK but the rooms need a lot of help. Dripping plumbing, leaking AC and could be cleaner without being dirty. It is excellently located for the historical district but after that there is nothing close. The beach has Shark warnings and is polluted. A couple of restaurants close by that... More

Stayed here for the World Cup and the price was very, very high: UD$200 per night and it was certainly not worth it. The staff was very friendly, but the hotel installations were very old, and the rooms very, very small. I heard that usually they charge USD$70; that would be a better price.

We stay in the Hotel Pousada Sao Francisco only one night, as we were short in time to visit Olinda. It is well located close to the historical center. The district is secure, and close by restaurants and bars. There is a small car park, and the common area around the swimming pool is relaxing after walks in the city.... More

Good mattress and pillows; nice pool; ok breakfast; great location on parade route for Carnaval and short walk to Historic Area. Also close to good restauants. Moldy bathroom, dripping shower tap, shower drain partially plugged so you stand in a pool of water, no place to hang wet towels, tiny area for hanging clothes - a 16" space and 4... More

While our Booking.com reservation was registered - reservation being a troughout Brazil problem - and we were kindly welcomed, we have some mixed feelings about this hotel. The standard rooms in the back, behind the pool, are grotty and not worth the price. The famous window with broken glass at the poolside is still broken. Maintanance and daily upkeeping is... More

we stayed there 3 nights with my 4 year old and 14 year old. Very noisy, depressing rooms. The pool area was ok and the staff in reception were friendly. Not very well maintained, a window smashed in a room overlooking the pool on our first day, 3 nights later is was still broken.
