This hotel has a modern feel but was let down by a few simple things. The rooms were small but clean but there was a general musky smell in all the public areas. It is right at the heart of New Market which is great, but the noise at night and early in the morning may be an issue to... More

If this is your entry place into India, as it was ours, and it is a weekend prepare to have a baptism of fire for the streets will be teeming with shoppers and you will be hassled for sure. Apart from that the hotel is pretty good except from the stairs that lead up to the reception. Restaurant, staff and... More

My stay at this hotel was great. Now the hotel, at first, seemed strange with such small entrance, so my first thought was that it was going to bad. But don't let the entrance fool you. The interior of the hotel was very modern and was fully air-conditioned. Now to the room. The room was clean and again, modern. But... More

Our room was immediately made available on arrival even though we arrived earlier than our check in time. Excellent staff very good service. Room was clean. The housekeeping was also very prompt. Small reception but it does not matter.we were given a packed breakfast with out asking even though we left at 3:30 am .

This hotel was a big surprise for me. From the photos, I had assumed it to be a grand hotel but as soon as entered the narrow alley way leading to it, my hopes went down. But again, to my surprise, it was nothing less than a premium hotel from the inside. Dont let the entrance fool you, this hotel... More

The Sapphire Suites Hotel is not a "chain" hotel - it isn't an Oberoi, Taj or Hilton. If that is what you are wanting, then I suggest you look elsewhere. If, however, you are hoping to find yourself right in the heart of Kolkata, the New Market area and with a staff that will make sure that everything you want... More
