The location of this hotel was wonderful as it is near the famous park street area. The staff was helpful. however, there were few bed bugs and room was small. the rates were also higher than normal. An average stay.

A quick summary: Noisy, microscopic single room, dirty bed sheets, plenty of bed bugs, 10 min of hot water only... Despite a strategic location in Kolkota (plenty of good restaurants around and central for site-seeings) this hotel is clearly overpriced ! At least personal was nice.

A great place to stay in the heart of Kolkata. Unlike many of the nearby places the rooms are freshly painted and well maintained. The single rooms are very small but the doubles are a decent size. Despite being on a busy street the rooms are quiet. I've stayed here 4 times in the past year and have always found... More

Yup, bedbugs. Hotel seemed pretty good up until that experience. When we showed them the attack they quickly moved us into the room...next door. We later heard the shower running from the room where we got the bedbugs. The staff is friendly, but bedbugs are bedbugs.

We spent one night in the hotel which is good located, but for 25€ we expected a better service and accomodation. The room was clean, but the bed had no blanket and the bathroom was 1.5 sqm large. The most disappointing thing has been the rude staff always looking for money and clearly asking for them. We had the check... More

We heard that in Kolkata you have to pay a bit more to get a decent room and so the 2000 Rs per night seemed to be good invested money but I was a bit disappointed. The hotel staff was nice but in a way that it alwalys seemed as if they expect a tip for everything. We had a... More

A little hotel a block away from Sudder Street, the Hogg Market and the Newmarket. Very clean place with small rooms. Our room looked out on the main street and we were worried about noise but in the end it was very quiet and we werent disturbed. In typical Indian style the bathroom & shower all all close together so... More

We stayed at the VIP Intercontinental for a wedding in the family. The owner of the hotel is very courteous and a real gentleman. The same rubs off on the staff and we had no complaints with regard to their service. The rooms and cleanliness however can be improved. The food was as good as any Bengali restaurant in the... More

Situated in the most convenient location [between Park Street and new Market area] this hotel suits both the family and the business travellers. Rooms- though small in size- are clean and well maintained. A very helpful front desk and a good restaurant. Recommended for budget travellers. Tip: Taste typical bengali food from PRINCE restaurant just across the street.
