I choose Darjeeling for my honeymoon destination and Mayfair resort to stay. I must tell you all that Mayfair resort is the best place to stay there. Staff was very kind and amicable. Food quality was awesome (this resort has awesome chefs). Excellent property, neat and clean room and very good location as well. I recommend this resort to all... More

The May Fair Darjeeling is a good propert without proper engineering and maintanance , they have tried to market. The property as a 5 star hotel though a lot has to be desired would the rate the property as good though I was not able to take Bath for oneday because the hot water was not functioning in the room... I recently stayed at at Mayfair Darjeeling with my wife and the experience was marvelous to say the least. This heritage manor originally built in 1875 reflects the style and substance of various bygone eras (even centuries) of British colonial architecture and zamindari opulence. There is an unmistakable quaint english charm about it ; the beauty of white marble statues lining the... Stayed at The Mayfair 8-11 November last year. It is such a great place to relax in Darjeeling. Everything is at a high standard, and we were never disappointed at any time with any aspect of the hotel or the service. Having breakfast in the dining room looking out across the mountains was an unforgettable experience, and the buffet always... More

A cross between an hotel, a stately home, a palace and an English gentleman’s club ! Staff friendly and helpful and the general “business” procedures were good. Food was a buffet for both dinner and breakfast, and good quality with sufficient selection of both local and western dishes. The property appeared immaculately maintained and kept. The gardens and plants are... More

My family and I moved from the Mayfair in Gangtok to this sister property in Darjeeling on the eve of the New Year. On arrival we were greeted with a cup of a most exquisite Darjeeling tea - couldn't have asked for a better welcome. We were then escorted to our rooms which were almost as well equipped and furnished... More

We spent a couple of days in Darjeeling before our onward journey to Sikkim for our trek. The hotel is centrally located, albeit down a steep hill. The hotel has a lovely English charm to it. The rooms were luxurious, and even had a heater for those chilly nights. The restaurant offered a variety of Asian cuisine mainly vegetarian but... More

We traveled in October in a group of 14 people which included 6 children. The hotel is well located in the heart of the city and right opposite the Governor's house. It is a heritage property and the old building oozes the colonial charm. Though the rooms are smaller in the old wing, they are ideal for small groups -... More
