Stayed here two nights and not long enough. Most unique place I stayed and the best food in a recent three-week trip to Bhutan and India. Quite a few activities including hiking, fishing, exploring, tour of the tea factory and just relaxing. A working tea plantation with a fantastic history and extremely well maintained. Mangers Victoria and Auriole kept things... More

After a rather uncomfortable 4 hour journey from Bagdogra over very rough roads we arrived at the Glenburn Tea Estate. What a blissful place, great room with good bathroom facing Kanchenjunga which is about 90 km away, but is so clear and beautiful. The food was sublime and dinner is eaten around a single large table with name places so... More

The views from the tea estate are gorgeous, and the place is very serene. The food was excellent one night and so-so the next but the staff aims to please if you have any special requests. The rooms are quaint but note that not all of them have screens. We met some great guests over cocktail hour and round table... More

Whilst the Glenburn Tea Estate looks great on the website, I was not prepared for the soaring epicness of the place. Surrounded by fantastically deep valleys and towering mountains you can see the snow-capped Himalayas the hotel - a majestical view which I had not realised we would be enjoying. The staff and the management could not have been more... More

Let me start by saying, I was skeptical of the place. My wife had heard friends rave about the place but I was not convinced. Price seemed a bit steep and I did not know what I or the kids would do. However, gave in when a few family friends made a plan together. I as surprised beyond my expectations.... More

Its hard to put into words the amazing place Glenburn is.. from the beautiful scenery dominated by the Kangchendzonga, to the unbelievingly tasteful rooms and decor, the wonderful food and the delightful teas, Glenburn is simply incomparable to any other place I have ever visited. Another great thing about visiting Glenburn are the several activities that one can do -... More

A working tea estate in what feels like the middle of nowhere...it is the perfect escape! Upon arrival at the estate you are welcomed by a superior staff who took care of all of our needs for the next four days. There are three buildings that make up the accommodations. The original house is surrounded by gardens with butterflies and... More

We had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful estate. IWhat a lovely experience. Everyone was so helpful and kind. The evening meals with the other guests was a true pleasure. . . And the teas! What flavors! If you want a first class stay, this is the place to go. We were a bit disappointed, however, that with such... More

My Glenburn experience is such a highlight amongst many travel experiences. From the onset, being collected at Gangtok airport and ushered back to the 4 wheel drive and greeted with a cool homemade lemonade, to the amazing, stimulating conversations around the Glenburn dining table and the magestic Kangchendzonga gracing us with it's presence !A truly magical experience! The beds are... More
