Any duration at Glenburn Tea Estate is wonderful experience however to fully appreciate it 3 days would be your ideal minimum. Full of grace and charm, a step back in time to experience boutique luxury in the cool green Himalayan hillside overlooking on a clear day the snow capped mountain of Kachendzonga the 3rd highest mountain in the world. The... More

So this must have been one of our favourite hotels till date, and seems like it is going to stay that way. Everything about Glenburn is to make you feel special and cared for. From the hostess, to the staff and the numerous little things they do to make everything feel perfect. Like when they send sandwiches to the airport... More

6 days of sheer bliss a wonderful 5 star boutique hotel in the middle of the tea estate, the hotel is the old plantation house, very friendly helpful staff, wonderful food, outstanding massages, brilliant walks through estate villages, picnics by the small river, camp by the larger river and fish all night if you want too. Outstanding service, beautiful rooms,... More

Did you ever wonder how things were in the "old days" for the rich and famous! A getaway from the heat of the plains? I found out and loved it. This place has the old fashioned charm with the modern day conveniences. We spent 5 days in September and loved every minute of it. I would like nothing better than... More

We had been travelling for days, across bumpy dusty almost non existent Indian roads. We had stayed in some interesting hotels but nothing quite prepared us for The Glenburn. To call it an hotel doesn't seem right,it's Colonial charm and quiet demeanour makes it feel as though Brigadier Brown and his lady wife may stroll along at any moment! Instead we... More

We stayed for three nights over the xmas period and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The hotel is situated right in the middle of a large tea plantation and has wonderful views wherever you look. We were a party of two couples and stayed in a separate house just below the main house. The rooms were huge and beauifully... More

An exceptional place draws exceptional guests. Glenburn draws such an array of guests that the resident English managers, Victoria and Auriole, do not lack for social interaction despite managing a remote tasteful boutique hotel set on a ridge 3000 ft above the plains of West Bengal. Tasteful restraint in a country overrun with a riot of colour and excess is... More

Stayed here two nights and not long enough. Most unique place I stayed and the best food in a recent three-week trip to Bhutan and India. Quite a few activities including hiking, fishing, exploring, tour of the tea factory and just relaxing. A working tea plantation with a fantastic history and extremely well maintained. Mangers Victoria and Auriole kept things... More

After a rather uncomfortable 4 hour journey from Bagdogra over very rough roads we arrived at the Glenburn Tea Estate. What a blissful place, great room with good bathroom facing Kanchenjunga which is about 90 km away, but is so clear and beautiful. The food was sublime and dinner is eaten around a single large table with name places so... More
