I stayed at the guest house for 4 nights last autumn. It's clean and quiet, the room was tidy, beds with thick blankets so you won't be cold. The owners are very nice people. There's hot shower which is really important when it's only 15C or even less at night. Only ask mrs Gurung when exactly she turns hot water... More

The rooms are spacious and tidy, but there aren't any other amenities. It's an ideal place for budget travelers, though. The walls between rooms are thin and there isn't always hot water. Mrs. Gurung is a very nice lady and extremely welcoming.

I stayed in 3 different guesthouses in DJ in search of hot water, this was my final stop. The prices in the LP are way off, expect to pay 600 rupees min, but if there's two of you it's worth it. No wifi or amenities, just nice refurbished rooms with modern western bathrooms and a lovely old Goan couple that... More

We stayed at Andy's Guesthouse for about 10 days. To get there, it is about 5-10 min walk from the center, where you clearly don't wanna stay. It is a little uphill and really quiet. Streets in Darjeeling are really loud (honking jeeps all day and night), therefore try avoid busy streets. The guesthouse is clean, the owner really nice... More

This hotel is a very good choice - it's simple, but you have everything you need. Mrs Gurung is helping you, when you ask her, the beds were comfortable and very warm (in december!), which was very important for us. The room was very clean and we had hot water in the morning.

the owners are extremely nice and spread a positive mood. they showed us their rooftop and we took some chairs up there and enjoyed the breathtaking view. we were there in December and since there is no heating, it was extremely cooks, however, the owners provided more blankets and so we didn't freeze while sleeping, but it was impossible to... A long way from the bus/train station but worth the effort. View from roof fantastic. Rooms clean and tidy. Bed and pillow best I've had in many trips to India. Mrs G was very engaging and helpful. The excellent Sonam cafe was just down the road and provided wonderful breakfast and coffee.

After many a nights sleeping on mattresses that feel more like stacks of cardboard, Andy's was a sweet, sweet relief. Honestly, that was one of the top reasons we chose to spend a night here, but we were also surprised with how clean everything was. The toilet was also one of the nicest we've had in a low budget place.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in early November 2013, based on the Lonely Planet recommendation as it's 'Top Choice'. Our room cost 700INR per night, which was pretty expensive considering you literally just get a bed. The rooms are bare brick and our room wasn't particularly clean and had large damp patches seeping in. We did have an en-suite... More

We had a lovely stay at Andy's. Mrs G was a great host and very welcoming. The room was pretty basic but the beds were warm and comfortable and we hired a heater from her which we really needed. The hot water was fine but you needed to be economical with it. The view from the rooftop has got to... More
