Happened to visit its restaurant on the ground floor. Looks clean and nice. Has the conventional menu card with the pricing being on the reasonable side. The eating area is divided into three parts. Self service (fast food), the restaurant and a bar. Food is nice & value for money. Mist importantly it has a clean loo.

Each time we stop at the Kurseong Tourist Lodge to have momos, chicken cutlets & fragrant Darjeeling tea, and each time we find their food and service outstanding! Unfortunately, both in August 2012 and February 2015 the snow-capped mountains were hidden behind clouds. We could see the hills and valley below. The Tourist Lodge is conveniently situated on the Siliguri-Darjiling... More

A row of shops with underground set of rooms is what this lodge is. A grimy, greasy place with terrible dank rooms, disgusting looking restaurant, reception and equally sad courtesy. We were misinformed about this place and ended up booking a room here. In fifteen minutes flat we decided to get out of this hotel. Instead of an apology for... More

I stayed at this West Bengal Tourism guest house during the month of December. We got a room on the level below the reception's floor. It has wooden flooring like most of the houses in mountains in India. The room was small but clean. Had wooden floorin, big windows and decent bathroom. In the morning we used to open the windows and... More

I was taken here by my taxi driver(NJP to Darjeeling ) Frankly I wish I had not bothered. It's a filthy fly ridden dump of a place that serves revolting food with a complete lack of any hygiene. I am sure that there were better places to eat in Kurseong . Avoid, avoid, avoid!!

At the gateway of Kurseong you are allured and rightly so. For a govt set up it is superb. Rooms are cosy. Audience great. Ambience above average. Price reasonably well. Your reminiscence of old time. Your place for good food. I can't say anything bad about this hotel. Phrase go there and enjoy.

On way to Darjeeling, we stopped over here for a quick bite. One sees the TRIPADVISOR badge on the entrance door to the lodge. The location is beautiful with majestic Himalayas as a backdrop. People were having Chinese food, but, the yellow colored noodles didn't attract us much. .. The upper lip lifted back from the teeth in readiness for... More

I don't know about the rooms but the cooked food here is terrible, we had breakfast the other day it was okay as it was mainly sandwich, and for lunch we had momo, which you cannot really screw up unless you don't know how to boil, the chicken soup and the noodle soup was awful, had turmeric in soup, and... Considering a lodge wholly maintained by Government of West Bengal, overall experience of staying there is good. A careless atmosphere and attitude is also can become enjoyable if one takes it that way! One must stay there for atleast one night to feel the beauty of Hill.
