Located in the heart of the city and close to many 'places to visit'. Staff is very assisting in local travel, arrangements for anything that you might need, ready to provide info about chennai. Read some reviews shortly before going and after we had booked and paid for 8 nights and had a bit of a panic. We had found ourselves caught up in the Ashok chain sell off, which meant that hotels booked months before, and confirmed in writing, uncontactable, avan with the help of the Indian Tourist Office in London. So had... more

We stayed at a number of hotels in Mumbai and Southern India. Aside from the Residency Towers, we also stayed at the Ambassador Pallava in Chennai. We stayed at the former because our friend's wedding reception was taking place there; we found the latter through our guide book. The Ambassador Pallava was dated and paled in comparison to the Residency... more

We booked with this hotel 5 months ago, for a wedding reception. The hotel gave us a receipt for 22nd April 2006 and took a deposit of 10%. We had several emails from the hotel too confirming the date, the event and the menu of choice. 5 months later (4 months before the wedding on 26th December 2005) after the... more
