When a hotel which is owned and run by a Royal family, then one does find the legacy of the Nobleness in it. Once such hotel where we stayed was the Diggi Palace Hotel in Jaipur. The hotel formerly a haveli (residence) belongs to the Thakurs (land owners) and is conveniently situated to most of the tourist sites. Apart from... More

We stayed at Diggi Palace for three nights for a friend's wedding that was a lot held on the palace property. The staff was very friendly. An older gentleman would help us check in/out of key when we left (we had to leave the vintage key at the hotel). He was a very sweet man who tried to sell us... More

The palace is beautiful and has a lovely garden area to dine in and relax, very quiet aswell so you hardly hear the constant beeping of horns and all night traffic. The dinner and show is a must do! Very entertaining and staff were very polite and hospitable. Most of all the rooms were amaaaaazing! I had the best sleep... More

DIggi palace turned out to be one of those experiences where i went expecting nothing and came back wanting to go back to Jaipur just so I can stay at Diggi Palace. The food is not GREAT...but the ambience, the service and vibe of the place sets it apart.

What a lovely place to stay...immensely friendly staff and appealingly sited building. I love the peacocks and the gardens and the complications involved in finding your room. I like the sit-outs and their discreet lighting. The food isn't terrific, though breakfast is pleasing. The Royal suites are worth paying for, wonderful bathroom/wet room. The manager offered to put a deckchair... More

The property had a lot of character and was well maintained. The rooms were very spacious and clean, and everything worked well. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The food at the restaurant was great. The property was also very quiet.

First, you have to love India and its decadent side. Second, choose the rooms, there are some beautiful. Third: if become regular customers, (or propose to become one) talk to Wilson, the manager, will make excellent discounts. The gardens are large and numerous, walks, run, I do Tai Chi. Visit the palace full of terraces with stunning views, great for... More

Peace and quiet in the madness of Jaipur! Small, quaint hotel, just what you need after a hot day touring the city. Room we had was fine, nothing special but perfectly adequate. Internet access is dirt cheap too. The restaurant was better than I expected. Great portions and delicious curry. Recommend for people to stay here, made very welcome.

Our first impression was what a beautiful place. We arrived in the middle of the Holi celebrations so, understandably everything was rather disrupted. Unfortunately, this disruption continued throughout our stay. The building is beautiful, the rooms interesting. Some more interesting and luxurious than others. All of us (8 rooms) had the same experience with the linen. The bed covers.duvets were... More

I loved the authenticity of this hotel, it was straight out of a Wes Anderson film. The staff is lovely, don't miss the paintings produced by a lovely father and son team in the front lobby. Our room was huge and it over looked a terrace. Simply enchanting.
