What is it with these big Indian hotels? They seem incapable of sticking to arrangements to pick me up from the station/airport. After an overnight train journey from Udaipur, and feeling pretty grotty, my girlfirend and I thought that the exorbitant charge to be picked up from the train station would be worth the money. Annoyingly, the hotel had not... more

Our room here was a decent size, very clean and well maintained. Gardens are lovely and a real pleasure to meander through - especially after a busy, hot day in Jaipur. Food was very good. Only disappointment was the surprise of having been charged for breakfast after signing up online for a deal that included breakfast. We probably wowuld have... more

This hotel stands upto its name and in reality is quite palatial. Rooms are big and if you are lucky, you can get rooms close to the pool with sit-out. You will be taken by surprise to find the surroundings so natural and peaceful and yet, the hotel is located within the city. Once you are inside, you will forget... more

This was the most fantastic place we have ever stayed at and the price was incredible. We booked our room through the internet for $120 or so a night and it included a free breakfast. The property was absolutely stunning. Everything was so beautifully manicured. We loved the hotel so much we tried to think of a way to extend... more

When we checked in to Jai Mahal Palace, we were pleasently surprised by the ALL NEW WELCOMING LOBBY, It was grand and added to the already Royal Look of Jai Mahal. At Jai Mahal, we were treated like the personal guest of the Maharaja, no wonders, Jai mahal was the residence of the earstwhile Maharaja. the stay was Royal, the... more

Although not as opulent as the Rambagh Palace hotel in the same city, this hotel has a great atmosphere of energy, action and activities, whereas Rambagh has a more laid back and slow atmosphere.. The food in this hotel is very good, and I particularly enjoyed the Rajasthani thali served in nice silver thalis and bowls.. This hotel combines both... more

Tthe grounds were beautifully kept, the hotel retained its stately atmosphere of a former palace , the staff was courteous and efficient, everything was imaculayely clean, the food - mainly the desserts - were the best we had during our 15 days in India .One small but unpleasant hitch: the noise coming from the air conditioning compressors outside our bedroom... more

I have just returned from 3 nights at the Jai Mahal and it is absolutely wonderful. The rooms, grounds, pool, food and service were all excellent and I can not fault the hotel. It is a haven in the heat, hustle and noise of Jaipur - a fabulous city of bazaars and stunning sightseeing in the city and vicinity. more
