My wife and I stayed at the Samode Palace for three nights and found it to be the best hotel that we have stayed in world wide. The staff are exceptional, the food great and the palace its self was breath taking. We stayed in the royal suite with its private balcony and Jacuzzi. Everything was perfect and I recommend... more

Great expectations were not forthcoming with this visit. Many people had told me how wonderful this place was .... and we were very disappointed! We only stayed one night. The staff were not as friendly as most Indians at a 5-star establishment, and it was like they were doing us a favour to give us a room!! The rooms were... more

the samode palace is the best place to get married.it is one of the most beautiful palaces in rajasthan. Be prepared for a bit of heat during the afternoon and chilly night if your visit is during the winters. the staff is efficient, hardworking and will make the trip very relaxing. The 2 pools in the palace give beautiful views... more

We stayed in this hotel for only one night as part of our Golden Triangle trip to celebrate a special anniversary. It was recommended on Trip advisor and it has been one of the best recommendations that we have ever received. This hotel is breathtaking! We wanted a heritage hotel and got it. On arrival we were informed that we... more

On arrival we were asked to surrender one room as they required it for other guests. On refusal we were treated like third class citizens. We went to the restaurant for lunch. Since we were a large group (15 people) we requested that tables be joined. They refused to join tables. We decided to dine in-room at night and therefore... more

Kind of half-hotel half-museum, this is one of the most perfect hotels I've ever seen, and frankly, it is a pretty good value (250 euros/night). The rooms are very comfortable, spacious, well designed, with nice bathrooms and our room had a nice balcony overlooking the pool and with spectacular desert-mountain views. The non-bedrooms you see in the photos are some... more

The Samode Palace is expensive, but worth it for the unique experience. The setting is stunning and full of elegance. The architecture is spectacular and the views are wonderful. The Samode Bagh, which is a 10-minute drive away, is also worth visiting for lunch/dinner or you could stay there for a cheaper but equally elegant experience. more

A beautifully preserved palace in an amazing setting. Our room was outstanding (we were upgraded, which tipped the balance to the 5 stars). The reception rooms are beautiful, the pools stylish, and the service great. The food was ok, a bit too mild so as to appeal to western palates. more
