We spent a night last month at the Samode Palace. It was a great experience with a wonderful setting, a large suite, the best restaurant we found in India. The only negative was that our suite looked out onto a cliff - but that did not matter as we only spent the hours of darkness in our room. Again the... More

We stayed just one night on our Rajastan trip. The hotel was originally a palace of the Maharajah of Jaipur and I believe, still his property. The palace has been beautifully converted into a hotel with original features sympathetically retained and enhanced. We were fortunate to have a very good rom at the topof the building with a marvellous canopied... More

It was a last minute decision we will never regret. This is a great breakaway destination from Delhi. The rooms are stunning, the service great. We had a great dinner in the restaurant attended by well trained staff and even a visit to the spotlessly clean kitchen. The quaint wine cellar had it's own surprises with a good selection of... I was staying in Delhi and drive out to samode for the last night.. It was a real nice break from Delhi. The hotel is peaceful and traditional. The infinity pool was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the serene views of the Jaipur region. More

Very little to fault. We wanted comfortable accommodation located within walking distance of a small untouristy town. This fitted the bill. We were upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was lovely but I don’t doubt all the other rooms are just as nice. The whole operation had that feeling of quality and care. Where we felt they may have made... More

This a striking hotel in a stunning position that you would find very hard to beat anywhere.  An old maharajas palace up in the mountains, it's been converted into a hotel but still has all of the old features of the palace. It has the most stunning rooftop infinity pool overlooking the mountains.  The second pool is enormous and overlooks... More

we drove in from delhi (five hours) while other relations joined us at the property from jaipur. you have to drive past an amazing village to reach the palace. you are greeted warmly on arrival, served a welcome drink while the formalities for the rooms are being done. the rooms are large and spacious - we stayed on the first... We had really wanted to stay at Samode Palace(after two recommendations) but it was out of our price range so instead booked to stay at the Samode Bagh. We arrived at the Bagh on dusk and it was rather quiet. We walked through the gardens which were beautiful, fountains going, badminton nets and through the main building to be recevied... More

I recently stayed at Samode Palace with some friends and our 18 month old daughter. It is a beautiful hotel! We had room 208 which suited us perfectly. The room was huge and there was a separate curtained off area where our child could sleep without us disturbing her. The staff were really lovely and I was really happy with... More

This is a wonderful palace. A unique experience to any trip to Rajasthan. Located in Samode village, this is a not to be missed experience. Stunning swimmingpools, with buble bath possibilities. The Samode Village is so nice. Two great restaurants. Great interiours. Puppet show and local music before dinner. It's a pricey place to stay, but it will probably be... More
