Intriguing place to stay near one of the gates into the old city of Jaipur. Bissau palace is a family home turned into a hotel packed full of history. Imagine a National Trust house full of family treasures and photos transported to the heart of Rajisthan and that's what you'll find here. Look out for the Bissau family relaxing with... More

Stunning rooms, and fabulous paintings make this original palace a great place to stay, and only a short walk from the centre of Jaipur. Complete with library, bar, and great restaurant, the hotel is both modern and has all the heritage trappings of the old palace. Always ask to check out the other rooms however as the first one we... I stayed here with a group of 15 people for a week in December 2014. The hotel itself is quite amazing with so much to look at - as described by other reviewers. The hotel manager and other staff were all really helpful and friendly. I found the food delicious - a vegetarian's paradise :-) The rooms are all very... More

This was a really interesting experience from start to finish. Initially we were given a room that was very dark and poorly ventilated, two rooms down from the jewellery shop. The bathroom was in a poor state of cleanliness and the hotel really should do something about the condition of the bath facilities before using this particular room for guests,... More

This converted palace to hotel is quite interesting. Large rooms, funky locks on doors, it is pretty much the same as 100 years ago. They have free wifi but it never worked, even in the lobby. It is a historic place near the market place in old town. Hard to find. Quiet despite being in old town. Nice place to... More

We booked into this Rajasthani hotel online with no real idea of what we would find. What we did find was a very clean, comfortable and traditionally-elegant hotel built in 1919 and recently renovated. While there we felt we were really in India, and not in a western version of it. The food was delicious and inexpensive (try the thali... More

Terribly wifi and only to be used in reception area. Nice tasting breakfast and wait staff friendly. Check your bill at this place as we were nearly charged for drinks we never had as we don't drink beer. Diwali celebration with nice buffet and fireworks happened when stayed here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Family business. Breakfast was pretty good... More

The most unique hotel I've ever stayed in. The restored Bissau Palace is indeed a sensational venue in itself. Every wall is filled with murals, objects d'art, artefacts, armoury, rare books and displays however all in a living sense, not just as museum pieces. You could spend days exploring the detail in each of the common area rooms. Guest rooms... More

This lovely small hotel is decorated on every surface with frescoes, mirrors, tiles and textiles - the bedrooms are like stepping into a time capsule as a guest of the family. Importantly though each bathroom has its own gas hot water system so the hot water was reliable unlike many other places we stayed. It's a family home turned into... More

Simply amazing hotel in a rather dodgy and dirty part of town.Once inside the premises you will feel the quietness of an old maharaja time. Like an old museum full of classic pictures and items. Service by friendly Nepali staff. Best place I have ever stayed at in Jaipur.
