I booked the Bissau Palace for a group of 17 of us and I was purely going by the reviews on TA. Driving through Jaipur, even though I had been there before, I wasn't sure what to expect. Then we turned the corner into the courtyard and I just thought WOW!!! The instant magnificence of the place hits you as... More

When you arrived in Bissau Palace you will find the quaint charm of a place steeped in history. This place is absolutely romantic. There is just the right amount of dust to scare away the followers of major hotel of type Radisson. here is a place for travelers.

Close to wall of the Pink town in Jaipur you find this gentleman of a hotel. It's old and remarkable. The common areas in the hotel are spatially with a touch of luxury and decay. Recommend this place cause of its charm and friendly staff. Will return.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with a Gadventures Tour. You can look at this hotel in 2 ways. In a favourable light - this is a wonderful place to stay. It is a beautiful building which evokes the days of the Raj which old photos and artifacts. The seating areas in the central courtyard are truly magnificent.... More

I have never seen a hotel with so much art! Every wall (and some outside ones), ceiling and cornicing is covered in patterns or a drawing of sorts. If it's not one of those, it's a painting (some very large) or a life size portrait of a mogul king. Additionally, the furniture and fittings in the lounge area are antiques... More

The room was grand ,huge kingsize bed lounge area with fountain and en suite and daybed , more than one could image. Reception was very competant ,library and lounge beautiful decorated .At night you have live indian music by students in the lounge and bar area.

Very nice comfortable hotel with attentive and helpful staff. Close to one of the main city gates. Comfortable rooms, a pool and good food with very good coffee. Plenty of tuk tuk drivers on hand if you can't face the walk in the traffic.

If you want a unique room and hotel this is the place. Unique would also apply to the food as well though because I have never had worse food anywhere else. Be prepared to leave the hotel if you want decent food. The rooms were nice enough and the jeweler in the courtyard was great but the food left a... More

This hotel grounds were amazing. The common areas, as well as the restuarant were incredibly unique, filled with art work, knick knacks, photos, unique wall coverings. Each room had incredible character and was warm and inviting. also, the entire hotel was an oasis within the city which is busy and noisy.

As per the title, this hotel at one time would have been a wonderful place to stay, unfortunately now there would have to be a lot of money spent to bring it back to its former self. We had a 2 night stay with friends and family and all the rooms differed in condition, I think we drew a short... More
