This converted palace to hotel is quite interesting. Large rooms, funky locks on doors, it is pretty much the same as 100 years ago. They have free wifi but it never worked, even in the lobby. It is a historic place near the market place in old town. Hard to find. Quiet despite being in old town. Nice place to... More

We booked into this Rajasthani hotel online with no real idea of what we would find. What we did find was a very clean, comfortable and traditionally-elegant hotel built in 1919 and recently renovated. While there we felt we were really in India, and not in a western version of it. The food was delicious and inexpensive (try the thali... More

Terribly wifi and only to be used in reception area. Nice tasting breakfast and wait staff friendly. Check your bill at this place as we were nearly charged for drinks we never had as we don't drink beer. Diwali celebration with nice buffet and fireworks happened when stayed here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Family business. Breakfast was pretty good... More

The most unique hotel I've ever stayed in. The restored Bissau Palace is indeed a sensational venue in itself. Every wall is filled with murals, objects d'art, artefacts, armoury, rare books and displays however all in a living sense, not just as museum pieces. You could spend days exploring the detail in each of the common area rooms. Guest rooms... More

This lovely small hotel is decorated on every surface with frescoes, mirrors, tiles and textiles - the bedrooms are like stepping into a time capsule as a guest of the family. Importantly though each bathroom has its own gas hot water system so the hot water was reliable unlike many other places we stayed. It's a family home turned into... More

Simply amazing hotel in a rather dodgy and dirty part of town.Once inside the premises you will feel the quietness of an old maharaja time. Like an old museum full of classic pictures and items. Service by friendly Nepali staff. Best place I have ever stayed at in Jaipur.

We stayed at the Bissau for four nights in October 2014, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was delightful, secluded with a verandah, and wonderfully decorated. The hotel's breakfast room, dining room, library and coffee alcoves are all photogenic, and the grounds are pretty. The meals were tasty. The promised Wifi was weak and restricted to the hotel lobby,... More

Appart of the decoration there is no need to stay in this hotel. The rooftop restaurant was closed, TV was not working they came to check it but didn't do anything. The pool is more a pigeon's bath, be careful if you want a swim. We were very disappointed of this "palace", we do not recommand this place or only... More

After the crazyness of Delhi and our drive to Jaipur this hotel was a welcome oasis. The street outside is a typical indian street market, so it will appear chaotic and dirty, but don't let that put you off!! The pool is small but nice enough for a quick dip to cool off. Wifi didn't reach our room but can... More

The hotel is in the heart of the city and is quite place among the surrounding chaos. There are varied kind of rooms which are offered. Hotel staff is sensitive to the varied need of the Indian and foreign tourists and try to accommodate them accordingly. Its a quite and a different experience. food at restaurant is good and service is... More
