Devi Niwas is owned by a lovely family who hosted me and my friend very well! They are friendly and very helpful! We had a proper family feeling away from the craziness of the city centre of Jaipur! The rooms are spacious and the food tasty! It is a great place to chill out in the spacious courtyard! I really... More

I stayed with my parents and brother for two nights at Devi Niwas and it was a wonderful time, we all agreed on that! The whole family was very friendly and outgoing and we had a lot of fun playing cricket with them in the spacious courtyard. Mithu and Noddy are also great card game companions and their English is... More

Nice rooms, great food and fantastic owners. This place is owned and managed by an old family who's had the house for generations and now runs it as a hotel. The rooms are big, comfortable and cheap and the whole family are helpful and talkative. There is no WiFi, but the owners are more than happy to lend you their... More

I found the Devi Niwas's adress in the 2007 Lonely Planet and it had quite a good review. When I checked the reviews on TripAdvisor I thought it couldn't be so bad. In fact, it was not terrible, but you can find MUCH better for the price. We arrived early in the morning and a lady welcomed us nicely. Every... More

Great Location, Amazing real indian food, Cheap and wit an extremely nice and warm and family. I've spent more than one week among Devi Niwas's walls, at the end of the high season. I'm a solo traveler by bike, so there is room for bike too. I must say that my time there has been extremely good. Considering that I... More

We were greeted with a warm hug by a beautiful woman. This family just let us in and cared for us. If your looking for a little bit of home then this is the place. There's no scams just helpfulness. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are good for India. I'd go back in a heart beat.

I'm amazed that Devi Niwas has some bad reviews. I stayed there for 10 days and really enjoyed staying there. The room I stayed in was basic, but the price was very reasonable. The family are very nice and helpful. No wi-fi, but I was invited to make free use of the family's computer. I really recommend anyone planning to... More

First impression seemed ok, room was large but not terribly comfortable bed. But in the evening sat with the other backpackers and the family, sat around eating nibbles and drinking chai, the children are adorable and they have lots of animals. The most homely feel we've had in India and one of our favourite places to stay. Good value, not... More

We arrived at Devi Niwas to what seemed a dingy, pigeon infested courtyard. After spending several minutes trying to find someone to show us to our room we were greeted by a (seemingly) friendly lady. She showed us up to our room (some very unstable, steep stairs) where we were then confronted with 3 pigeons sitting in our room, bird... More

We never had, based on what other reviewers have noted, the extreme displeasure of meeting Mrs. Signh. It's also true that we did not actually stay in Devi Niwas, although we came dangerously close. We arrived in Jaipur by train, and had booked in advance with the Devi Niwas, who also kindly said they would send a rickshaw driver to... More
