Samode bagh is one quiet place just 40 kms away from Jaipur. Highly recommended only if u r staying for at max 2 nights with a large group. As a couple or a single traveler, the place does not have much to offer. Food is definitely above average but the cottages need refurbishment.

Spent 2 nights here. Tented rooms are ok but tired, I could here the woodworm gnawing! Shower either freezing or too hot and a resident lizard. Air con was incredibly noisy, couldn't sleep, like having a helicopter outside your room The restaurant was ok but food was carried across the gardens from a kitchen elsewhere, service was slow and food... We ended our trip to India with 3 nights here, quite an unusual hotel where all the bungalows have tented roofs they are set around lovely gardens, the rooms themselves are comfortable clean, a wardrobe area with tea making equipment and then a good sized bathroom. They all have a nice terrace with chairs and tables looking out onto the... More

A couple of kms from Samode Village, we had just visited a nearby primary school and then we walked through a field across the road, with the usual grazing cattle and goats, to Samode Bagh. Samode Bagh is a peaceful oasis, in this otherwise very dry landscape. Once you walk through the main gate, like a lot of places in... More

Bungalows dressed as tents make this a very pleasant place to spend a couple of nights. Buffet food very good and staff very attentive. The gardens and grounds are spectacular. The local village is a must to visit, Ashok at the shop outside the hotel may offer you a tour. The town of Samode is worth a visit. What is... More

We didn't know quite what to expect, our luggage was dropped off at entrance 3 and we were taken on round to the main entrance. The surroundings as usual in India was not too impressive so we were apprehensive. We went through an archway and suddenly flower petals were showering down on us and music was playing and we were... The place is amazingly quaint and quiet. The luxury feel is fairly high – as is only expected since the royals at some point were using this in time. The rooms were absolutely neat and clean. Aircon very effective (albeit – didn't quite need it in the December evenings). The food was ok; could have been better. Was surprised by... More

The Samode Bagh resort is situated some distance from Jaipur and could be somewhat difficult to find and harder to get to on bumpy narrow rural roads once you leave the main routes. So you will probably need a skilled and knowledgeable driver familiar with the various highways and byways. When you get there, you will find that the resort... More
