This hotel is situated in South Mumbai. It's a perfect location for visitors to Chowpatty Beach. The room I had clean and a good size. There was hot water in the shower. The room was cleaned every day, the bed changed and a fresh towel. There's free wifi in the reception area. On the 3rd floor there is a cafe... More

Good option for a budget stay in Mumbai. Taxi driver didn't know where to go (Lamington road didn't tell him much), but he found the way with a help of the map. On Friday evening it took almost 2 hrs to get there from the airport, but when we finally got it we were pleased we booked the room here.... More

Hi Paulina Thank you for the great review. It was unfortunate that it took so much time to reach the hotel but I believe that the Ganesh festival was on during your stay and that creates a lot of traffic issues in Mumbai - normally it does not take more than 1 hour at the most to get to the... It was one of our best places to stay during our 2 weeks trip to India. We've found Bombay quite difficult to find good place with reasonable price. Finaly we've spent 3 nights in Travellers Inn (also reviewed by me) and 1 night in KumKum. The second one was little more expensive but the standard was also higher. In KumKum... More

The hotel kumkum was a totally serviceable, basic, clean hotel. We didn't try to find a hotel after we'd arrived in Mumbai, which can be cheaper, but the kumkum seemed like one of the most affordable options in the city center. The room was simple--two small beds, clean bathroom with shower and western toilet--and the staff was friendly. The breakfast... More

Had put up a few guests here during the marriage season. The entrance can almost be missed due to the poor visibility of the hotel from the main road. The reception is on the first floor. The rooms are spacious & well lit. The air conditioner works very well & the food sumptuous. The railway station is a 5 minute... More

Dear Rushik Thank you for the mostly positive review. We will definitely try to improve as per some of your observations. I do believe that the front side of our building was under repair during the time that you put up with us. We have since completed the front side renovation work and I'm sure locating the hotel will not... More

I stayed at hotel kumkum for a good 16 days and I can assure you that my stay was fantastic. The staff were amazingly nice and you can't go wrong for the price. The room in itself was a superior one which I booked for ten days and after my ten days I decided to explore Mumbai a little bit... More

Location - Amazing, Grant Road Stn is literally 5 mins walk away and the local trains are the most fun and cost effective way to discover the city. Felt safe travelling alone, the roads nearby are busy and filled with taxis too Staff - Friendly, helpful and always smile! Good level of spoken English and willingness to help Rooms/Hotel -... More

I booked a room there and paid about 23 euros for one night which was quite cheap for Bombay. For that, I got a nice clean double room with a shower that was difficult to work at first but worked fine after. The staff were extremely polite and the restaurant/room service provided good (though small portions) of Indian food for... More

Dear Sir Thank you for the great review. I agree that the checkout time is slightly early but as we cater to a lot of clientele who also want an early check in in the morning we try to find a balance for all our customers. I hope you understand. Regards Chirag Mody More

We visited here in March 2014 and stayed for 4 nights. Room was quite small but very clean and the hotel public areas were all clean also.
