I stayed for 1 night for a business trip. Overall clean hotel and economical as compared to other hotels in Mumbai (of the same facility). Average rating just because of 3 things. (1) Room was smelling of cigarette when I entered (as the previous guest may be smoking) and the smell didn't go away even after generous room freshener sprays... More

We stayed at the Kumkum on two separate occasions and both times we were very impressed. Rooms clean and comfortable, restaurant serving basic but delicious and fresh food cooked right infront of your eyes (masala omelette for breakfast recommended). It's not the most glamorous but this is Mumbai and, for the price, there is nowhere better in the city. Best... More

We had a plan to visit Mumbai in the last week of May on our way to Pune and made an advance booking for two days in Hotel Kumkum for a Deluxe A/c Room on triple occupancy basis, after going through the reviews in TripAdvisor. On landing at the domestic terminal of Airport,we hired a prepaid cab and taken the... More

We stayed 2 nights at Hotel Kum Kum and felt it was good value for money. We arrived in the morning (~8am), and they let us check in early, which was great after an early morning flight. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean, and the bathroom was clean as well. The room smells a bit damp and musty... More

Excellent services! Nothing could be better than this hotel at the price they are offering rooms. You hardly find negative review for this hotel and the owner is replying to all the comments, which shows his willingness to provide best services to the customers. Hotel staff was very supportive and charismatic! Mr. Mody was there on the next table while... More

In the heart of Mumbai, on a busy street...you come across this discreet property which does not even have a proper signboard (presently that is). You walk in feeling a little pissed off at this super expensive city which made you settle for a hotel like this. By the time you've climbed up the stairs and entered the corridor where... More

Located in central Mumbai, it can be a bit daunting to navigate. Most taxis don’t know where to go but do know Lamington Road so just request this and push them as far as the hotel or a block from it. Taxi to South Mumbai is only 100rs at most. The rooms are quite basic and small but clean enough... More

It was a family visit for 3-4 days. The hotel is located on a walking distance from Mumbai central, Maratha Mandir. We searched for few hotels nearby like Hotel crystal on Gilder Path, however they were quite costly or not that clean. Here's the review: Rooms: Are ok, considering a budget hotel and Mumbai. Some rooms are small enough to... More

Dear Sir Thank you for your positive review. I do agree that we do not have too may options if you want to hang around the hotel and we do not advertise the same anyways. We are as you have rightly pointed out a clean budget hotel for travellers who want easy access to most areas in Mumbai. I do... More

Everything was perfect in this hotel like service by the reception staff, cleanliness and location, Would have given a 5 star rating this hotel.. but I don't know why they allotted us a tiny room that doesn't have walking space, dining space and not even a teapoy. We literally had our food sitting in the bed. Why so much discrimination??.... More

Dear Sethuraman Thank you for your review. I do believe that overall you were very satisfied with the hotel. Regarding room size we have always maintained that the superior room which you booked if our budget room and is of a smaller size while our deluxe rooms are much larger. We hope you try the same on your next visit.... More
