This is in a really good area to stay for looking at various Mumbai attractions and being able to walk to Chowpatty beach. Rooms are small but have very comfortable beds, and good basic bathroom, extremely clean with a good roof restaurant. However the real reason I would thoroughly recommend its the helpfulness of the Kumkum staff, from getting you... More

Had stayed with Hotel twice before. On the third time had booked a single room - 2 weeks in advance and on arrival they told me they have no room in my name and all the rooms were booked. After yelling at them for few min they told me they might have a Bigger room but will cost extra. From... More

the front photo doesn't give the right expression of the clean, very modern, spacious und nice rooms. all in all a very good place to conquer Mumbai. only 15-20 min walk to chowpatty beach; 10 min to railway "grand roads". and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It muss not always be Colaba.

The location isn't great (very busy street where you can hear car horns all the time) but the room is perfectly satisfactory. Clean sheets, decent shower, good breakfast upstairs (although I was sick on the third day...). Wifi is slow but that's the case everywhere in India. Don't expect luxury or romance!

Thank you for the good review. However I am surprised that you found the wifi slow as we have recently upgraded to a very fast wifi connection. It is possible that at your time of usage there may have been a heavy load or some other guest using a large amount of bandwidth. Regards Chirag Mody More

The room (A/C deluxe) was spacious and comfortable. We were able to check in at 1.30am. The level of cleanliness was satisfactory. The hotel is located is located in a quite central area, but a far from beautiful one. The hotel is far from inexpensive for indian standards, but also Bombay is the most expensive city. Handy restaurant on the... More

Thank you for your review. I would like to point out that Mumbai is a very expensive city compared to the rest of India and the prices here cannot be compared with the rest of the country. By Mumbai standards we are very very reasonably priced as we consider that as one of our USP's. Regards Chirag Mody More

The hotel itself is fine, nice entrance and lobby. Rooms are ok , 2 single beds a bit dorm style. Restaurant upstairs doesn't look much but the food they produce in the tiny kitchen is amazing. We watched them make my samosas from scratch, rolled the pastry, cooked the vegetables then fried the whole - beautiful. Breakfast up there was... More

Mumbai is the most expensive place in India for accommodation and Hotel KumKum was definitely one of the cheaper places we found when looking. It's fantastic value based on other hotels in the Mumbai area. It's very clean, staff is extremely pleasant and very helpful with booking tours, taxi's and general info. You also receive a free map upon arrival... More

All this has been made possible with my stay in KumKum. Its just not about being a stay option with comfortable rooms, Spotless Bathrooms and Economics, beyond that the team at... More

Absolute value for money with clean rooms and toilets, complimentary WiFi and helpful staff. Convenient location. Food reasonably priced as well, but perhaps they can add a few more items to the dinner menu.

We stayed for 2 nights recently on our Mumbai sightseeing trip. We selected the hotel based on the Tripadvisor reviews. The ride from Airport to the Hotel took approx an hour in evening peak traffic. The fixed rate for Prepaid taxi from Domestic terminal to Grant Rd aka Lamington Rd was Rs 430 for the Black & Yellow city taxi.... More
