We stayed for 3 nights upon arrival in India. Staff were very helpful making transportation arrangements, recommending sites, and orienting us to Indian culture. Breakfast was nice. We walked to most sites and felt very safe. Would most definitely stay again.

On arrival late evening, we were told we were being put in to a lower grade room than the one we booked as they had messed up their bookings at heir own admission. The room was filthy, used glasses on the table, horrors in the bath, grubby linen, dirty floors, stank of stale cigarette smoke despite our request for a... More

The booking at the Ascot was an awful experience. We arrived at the hotel late on Sunday after our flight. We were advised that the room we had booked was not available and we were allocated an inferior room. We entered the room to find it had previously occupied by a heavy smoker from Saudi Arabia, despite our request for... More

We stayed in the Ascot for two nights from the 10/03-12/03. The hotel is very central to everything you need such as restaurants, shops, gateway to india etc. The room is nicely decorated and the beds really comfortable. The shower has good pressure and air con worked very well. The breakfast is very limited to egg omelette and toast with... More

We booked out stay well in advance - just well as there was a witing list by the time we arrived. Everthing about Jackson is true - he recognised and welcomed us even before we spoke. No praise is too high for all the staff who made our last few nights in India so good. Or room was large, clean... More

My husband had to see a doctor. He had a acute pain his back, and we don't have any idea where to go. So I asked a front desk, a gentleman ( I didn't ask his name,) called a doctor ( Dr. Samuel), And Dr. Samuel referred a doctor at Bombay Hospital ( General Hospital ). Less than hour we... More

We stayed at the Ascot for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. We arranged for the hotel's car to pick us up from the airport and this went very well. The check in was handled very quickly and efficiently by Jackson a most charming, efficient and helpful man. We settled for the basic room which was very adequate.... More

By far the best place to stay in downtown Mumbai. Great value, spacious, comfortable rooms, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and a wonderful location. Also, you are within walking distance of many of the local attractions, including the Gate of India and the Oval. Plus some fantastic restaurants in the vicinity, including the best vegetarian in Mumbai: Kailash Parbat, two... More
