Stayed at the suba Palace mid Feb 2009. We booked a triple delxe room. Arrival was smooth- although late at night, and everyone wore smiles and did their best to make us feel welcome during our stay. The front desk was particularly helpful in arranging the appropriate 'paperwork' -- two times even (!) to secure a cell phone for our... more

Hotel is at an amazing location, write at the start of colaba causeway. Just a few minutes walk from Gateway of India and all the nice eateries around. Apart from where its located, the hotel itself is very decent. The room was well kept and clean, the staff was very cordial as well. Price was a tad on the higher... more

My friend and I started our second India trip in Mumbai, and after reading many reviews in tripadvisor, we decided to book a room there for four nights. We loved it!! Of course it wasn't cheap (but it's difficult to find anything decent in Mumbai if you don't want to pay for it). Room was really clean and with all... more

This is a great little place. The location is fantastic, just a few minutes walk from the Gateway of India and the main areas. The hotel is small and the rooms are likewise but the standard of the rooms and hotel generally is super. It's like a scaled down version of a 5 star and if it were a little... more

We found our room and the hotel itself clean and the location just round the corner from the Gateway of India and Colaba Causeway coudn't have been better. We were perfectly satisfied with the breakfast - of course "continental" is just toast with the ubiquitous red jam, but the Indian breakfast goodies were most tasty, and there was always fresh... more

Suba Palace is clean and has comfortable refurbished rooms. Well located in Colaba just behind the Taj Hotel. Like all hotels in Colaba it is way overpriced, compared to the rest of India. While the rooms are fine, I found the staff to be rather unfriendly and the breakfast buffet very average. Also they do not allow any Indian visitors... more

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Had to keep asking for the basics. They were so regimental it was unreal. We had a late checkout of 2.00pm I got a call at 2.00pm, I said I will be out in 5 mins I got told if did not hurry I will be charged for the whole... more

The suba palace is locating in central colaba near the gateway to india, which makes it a good place for sightseeing and eating in Mumbai's better restaurants. Although not spotless, the rooms are well maintained and cleaned. The same applies general facilities and the breakfast place. They serve a buffet breakfast (sufficient, indian choice available) and provide tea and coffee. more

Excellent location, rooms clean and spacious with minimal clutter, air conditioning and fan. Bathroom worked with hot water although lacking in pegs to hang towels etc. Would suggest they have a certain number of No Smoking rooms. Room cleaned bizzarely whilst you are there! Breakfast only okay and with tinned fruit juice - in India! However for the price good... more

We stayed here for three nights - we had a lovely room on the fourth floor with a great view. The room was spacious with plenty of natural light. We arrived in Mumbai via train and although we were an hour early we went up to the hotel to see if our room was available. Check-in was swift and they... more
