The rooms are quite spacious and well maintained. The view may not be so great as it is centrally located but it is well connected to various parts of the busy city of Mumbai; theatres, hospitals, malls, railway station etc. and to the beautiful Queens necklace (the Marine Drive), thus, making it the perfect venue to stay and dine; and... The West End hotel is definitely not for the new age traveller...be prepared to take a step into the old world, with grill cage lifts....old style rooms...and a huge bathtub. The bathrooms have been renovated, so that's up to date. The hotel is strategically located, so that it's easily accessible to city sights, restaurants, etc. The food is decent, but... More

I was in Mumbai on a study abroad and had little knowledge of what to expect when we arrived. The staff proved to be friendly enough providing many things we requested or needed. The rooms are roomy, simple, and satisfarctorily clean: The furniture dated but clean. Internet is NOT free and is not easily used all over the hotel. I... More

I stayed at west end on for 3 nights (went there on the 9th may 2014) I have to state that I misplaced my GOLD RING AND SILVER RING in the room the day that I was checkn out from the hotel. I was leaving for another hotel nearby itself. (due to lack of facilities) And I remembered that my... More

I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights and had an average experience. First off, the location is excellent. It is walking distance from Churchgate station and really close to Colaba as well. The hotel looks and feels really old. All the furniture and the interior is quite dates. Having said this, I suppose it contributes to the charm... More

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in Feb-14. The location is pretty good, if you have work in South Mumbai. However, for the room price, the facilities are not upto the mark. The lift is British-era and definitely needs replacement. I was given a corner room and the room was spacious, and the bathroom was great. However, the bed... More

Very spacious room, courteous staff. I liked the old world feel to the hotel and the rooms. Spent only few hours at the hotel itself. Room was clean, functional and utilitarian. Location could not have been better. Based on my experience in Mumbai, great value for money.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in December 2013. I landed up at 6 am and they checked me into my room without slapping any extra charges for early arrival (which most hotels would have done) and that was great. The establishment dates back to 1947, the year India got independence and the management clearly wants to preserve... More

It isn't. The first impression on walking in, its a throwback to the 80s. I asked the receptionist about this. he said the owners want to keep it that way. Some may like it, I didn't. Having said that, the rooms were clean and large(not found in this area), furniture is antique or dated(take your pick), room service was prompt,... More
