I was extremely disappointed when I checked in. The lobby seemed adequate, but the rooms were disgusting! Likes: Hotel very clean and palatial. Rooms clean and spacious. Very similar to Crowne Plaza hotel. Hot water 24/7. Right on the beach. Citibank ATM right across the street. Tulip Star should be down graded to 3 or 4 stars. I have previously stayed in the hotel twice. But it was a real shock this time. I stayed in the deluxe room - most expensive on the 6th floor. I had the misfortune of staying in tulip star hotel during a 15 hour layover in Mumbai. The hotel used to be the previous Centaur which was indeed a 5 star property 25 years ago.
