The hotel claims to be 4 star but by my standards is a poor 3 star. The staff are helpful but not very well trained and asking them a question usually gets you" I will check with the manager, sir" response. The rooms are ok but the whole place is run down and needs serious re-furb. The gym is a... more

I booked the standard room. The condition of room was too bad. So I asked them to give me another room & they upgraded me to a deluxe room on 11th floor. The Deluxe rooms was good & value for money. The only problem was the toilet sitting was too conjusted. Gateway of India, shopping market & excellent food restaurant... more

We stayed at Fariyas for total of 3 nights while we were in Mumbai. We had a deluxe double room and it was stinking like cigarette smoke. We asked if we could change to non smoking room and they said they didn't have non smoking in deluxe. We had to live with the smell. They did spray a freshner in... more

Yes Mumbai is pricey. We chose Fariyas based on the reviews on this website. Positives: cleaning staff, door staff, hotel car option, location, room was tidy & clean for Indian standards. Negatives: dodgy internet & Reception has never heard of customer service. Ok: Restaurant. I know its advertised as 4 star but by international standards its really a 3 star... more

When booking this hotel I found the staff to be polite and helful, and upon arrival I found the staff to be nice enough. The room, however, was not so good. I just didn't feel clean in it and it was very rundown. The bathroom was also terribly rundown with filthy grout and it was just so old, small and... more

It was really a nice place to stay n all above in economic rates. Its a kind of 3 star hotel, but the facility & confort I found there was not less than 5 star. I enjoyed the hotel & the restaurent over there. Nice food, nice ambience & nice services. All other facilities like room service, hotel cab service... more

Avoid this Hotel. Can't beleive the prices we paid. Staff were helpful but the place has paper thin walls, terrible food and charges a fortune. more

This hotel is marketed as a 4 star hotel. It may be by Mumbai standards but certainly not by Western or my standards! The hotel is vastly over priced and service is mediocre to poor. Reception staff are surly and unhelpful. We had booked this hotel on the strength of photos and their inital willingness to help by email. The... more

Mumbai hotels are expensive and finding availability for rooms can be tough. The Fariyas has a good location in the shadow of the Taj Hotel just off the waterfront of Marine Drive. When the President and Oberoi were booked out, I stayed there for a one night business trip. At $200 per night it's not cheap, but compared to the... more
