The Lonely Planet recommends this as a top pick in Mysore, so we were a little disappointed that it wasn't better. The rooms are fine, with comfortable beds, TV, and air. There is a crazy number of outlets and switches and signs explaining which one is which. Our room had a small balcony too. But I was not impressed by... More

Positives: quirky touches everywhere in the hotel and rooms. small library in lobby, lots of unintentionally humourous signs everywhere. the owner sure seems to be a individualistic person with unique ideas of how to run a hotel. good sized room, excellent location in heart of city, there is a public park in front of the hotel. Negatives: i feel overcharged,... More

Parklane is over-the-top kitsch but it’s hard to dislike with its massive and immaculate rooms, ultra comfortable. Its lively open-air restaurant is always buzzing, and has a small rooftop pool too. thoughtfully outfitted with mobile-chargers and considerate toiletry kits.

Selected the hotel as it is very close to 2 important tourist spot, In the heart of the city so shopping as well as sight seeing was done with minimum travel. The rooms were however very basic and nothing much to write about apart from being clean and decent service. Breakfast not included. Food was nice though.

Great place to explore Mysore on foot (if you dare) Gumboots should be essential since stepping out of the Hotel involves avoiding a quagmire of rubble, rubbish and a cesspool of urine, feces and I don't want to know what else...You can watch incredible scenes from the balcony ; watch out for the males urinating on the park fence while speaking on... Summary: clean, safe, & quirky. A fine hotel but not really a great backpackers venue. great location (right next to Mysore palace). My wife and I stayed for a total of 5 nights at Parklane. Three nights in a "luxury" room and two nights in a "super deluxe" room. Both rooms were proportionally spacious to the price paid. Both rooms... More

Booked here based on combination of price and trip advisor reviews and very glad I did. Cracking location - walking distance to palace and the zoo (which is amazing btw you must go) Room was large with a little seating area, huge window though unfortunately that just looked straight onto another building about 2ft away. (More expensive rooms have balcony... More

Not welcoming. Queen Bed Not available. Two Twin beds are Joined. Dirty Linen. Dirty and Small Bath rooms. All Rooms are circular and all... More

Spent three nights here at the Parklane and it was enjoyable. The rooms are quite large and mine had a deck overlooking the park and its fun beer garden. The hotel has funky decor and a nice rooftop deck with a small pool. It is very close to the Mysore Palace and the Devaraja market is a short walk away.... More

Parklane is a very serviceable hotel in the city center. The immediate neighborhood is walkable, and one can easily reach the gates of the palace or the Devi market by foot. (Newcomers to India may be advised to take an autorickshaw, since crossing the streets is a challenge.) Staff is effective, given the usual limits of Indian infrastructure. Hot water... More
