Paid a visit to have a cup of tea and have a look around. So can't comment on the rooms. Must have been impressive as a palace, and the rooms looked very impressive. But if the restaurant where I had my cup of tea (Rs100) is anything to go by, not as grand as I was expected. Having said that,... More

Truly a Palace; formerly the guest house for the Mysore Palace, this beautiful building retains much of its Grandeur and Splendour. The amazing staircase, elegant elevator (sadly only serving 2 floors in the main building), beautiful Dining Hall with Wedgewood relief ceiling, grand ballroom and large rooms. Sadly it is not being prperly maintained. Chandeliers are thick in dust. The... More

Booked the property online. Its an amazing property maintained by The Asokha Group (ITDC). The location is excellent and being an heritage property the look is awesome. The property can be maintained more nicely like some of the palaces maintained by The Taj / Oberoi group. Food was good, value for money. The bar has a good collection. However, the... More

I was there this Friday and Saturday (28th and 29th Aug 2015). It was bit like a government setup. Little focus on customer in general across all departments - reception, room service, hotel service etc. 1. Reception was laid back, rather little welcome from them 2. No instruction in the room of any sort - room service, facilities (by guess... More

A state heritage built during early 1900 is still going strong fundamentally - Atchitecture at its best, furnitures maintained, Good Food & Curteousy unlimited. The entry to the Palace Hotel, Lawns & Garden need to be protected & uplifted by the Archeological Survey of India at the earliest to get the lost marvel back.

Wow ! what a sight as we neared the Place at night time the huge lighted structure could not be missed by anyone's attention. Magnificently lit up at night a truly grand heritage to visit and experience it actually is much more than words which are used to describe it. We explored it before having dinner at the huge centrally... More

One of the beautiful Palace Heritages of India , we had visited for dinner. The night view is of course stunning with all the lights and splendor. As we checked out the interior I had this feeling I would come back to stay at some point of time due to its elegance and charm. A huge palace to explore .... More
