Good hotel for a night's stay to experience what is it to be to stay in a palace. Do not expect modern luxury. This is overall a ITDC property. So it's still an affordable luxury. The rooms are basic. The woodwork and decor is definitely 60s or 70s but the expanse of the hotel will make you feel great about... More

We got to the Lalitha Mahal on a hot afternoon and fell in love instantly. We were greeted at the door by the lovely staff. Gave us a welcome and red dot on forehead. We were escorted to our room that I can only describe as worthy for a king. It was a large air conditioned room with a four... More

This is a very old hotel and the rooms are just OK. But defintely it is value for money. Try to avoid this place as much as possible. If you wanna get the feel of the palace, you can stay here for 1 or 2 nights. The swimming pool is not that well maintained. The staffs are good but the... More

I would say that it is below than expectation.. When I was searching out the property in net, I found this hotel and review/rating was good so I have booked the rooms through booking.com. I am aware about room standards since I stayed earlier in palace hotels but here my experience was worst.. After my long business meeting when I... More

One star is for the facade of this magnificent building. The second star is for the staff who are trying their best but there are clearly not enough of them, their uniforms were dirty and worn and they were struggling generally. The magnificence of the building stops as you cross the threshold. Dirty with worn and faded curtains, peeling paintwork... More

As one approaches this hotel, you can see the glory it once had, however once yougo through the front door you can tell it has gone to seed. The paintwork is peeling, the lighting is very low, partly because most of the lamps are missing, or perhaps to hide the lack of care shown to the building and its fabric.... More

From the outside this hotel looks magnificent, and indeed the decor of the dining room, dance hall and downstairs corridor is beautiful. This is evidence of its former grandeur, but the grandeur stops there! The reception area is tiny and rather dingy. The bedroom, along a long corridor and up two long flights of stairs (no lift) was adequate, but... More

Grandeur; first comes to one's mind. Well maintained only to the government enterprise's standard. Lot could be done to improve day for the beautiful sweeming pool where you will find a caretaker suddenly appears an come too close to my girlfriend's dismay. Then there is one memento shop whose employee is very tough for those who will not purchase and... More

Delicious food, good service and very tidy. If you love coffee it is a good place to have coffee. In Karnataka you get the best tasty coffee. You can have a nice meal on the terrace and feel like a royal :)

When you drive up to this hotel, you can't believe that is where you have booked to stay. It is magnificent and then you check in. It is a heritage hotel run by the government. They demand payment in advance of your stay. The inside of the hotel is run down and the service is a bit to be desired.... More
