One star is for the facade of this magnificent building. The second star is for the staff who are trying their best but there are clearly not enough of them, their uniforms were dirty and worn and they were struggling generally. The magnificence of the building stops as you cross the threshold. Dirty with worn and faded curtains, peeling paintwork... More

As one approaches this hotel, you can see the glory it once had, however once yougo through the front door you can tell it has gone to seed. The paintwork is peeling, the lighting is very low, partly because most of the lamps are missing, or perhaps to hide the lack of care shown to the building and its fabric.... More

From the outside this hotel looks magnificent, and indeed the decor of the dining room, dance hall and downstairs corridor is beautiful. This is evidence of its former grandeur, but the grandeur stops there! The reception area is tiny and rather dingy. The bedroom, along a long corridor and up two long flights of stairs (no lift) was adequate, but... More

Grandeur; first comes to one's mind. Well maintained only to the government enterprise's standard. Lot could be done to improve day for the beautiful sweeming pool where you will find a caretaker suddenly appears an come too close to my girlfriend's dismay. Then there is one memento shop whose employee is very tough for those who will not purchase and... More

Delicious food, good service and very tidy. If you love coffee it is a good place to have coffee. In Karnataka you get the best tasty coffee. You can have a nice meal on the terrace and feel like a royal :)

When you drive up to this hotel, you can't believe that is where you have booked to stay. It is magnificent and then you check in. It is a heritage hotel run by the government. They demand payment in advance of your stay. The inside of the hotel is run down and the service is a bit to be desired.... More

We had a lovely time here for about 7 days and made it our home base while we did several day trips. The actual Mysore Palace is amazing, and must see. The hotel was the summer palace, and it has some amazing architecture, it's a little old, a little worn, but she's still grand and the staff was great. There... More

We stayed here with our family last year during our Mysore visit. The heritage rooms looked very elegant and royal. We went around the hotel and enjoyed looking at the architecture and design of the building. There is a vintage style lift next to the reception (I never seen like this anywhere else!). The palace hotel has a beautiful view... More

We stayed in the Hertiage rooms felt royal. Its not a usual star hotel, its different; also you should ask them for a tour around the hotel(palace) it was a sightseeing experience by itself. The kids enjoyed the tonga ride. The bathrooms were not up to the standard though. The breaskfast also was very limited and ordinary.
