There have been times when I've booked a "home stay" and landed in a hotel or lodge-like place. But after spending a wonderfully peaceful 4 nights at Stephen's home in Mysore, I can confirm that this is as homely as it gets. Stephen was away abroad but Manjula (and Lucy!) made me feel right at home. Manjula's breakfasts were always... More

We were planed to visit Mysore at first. However, we changed our schedule to meet the Palace light show. We start to miss Mysore since we left there. The weather in Mysore is cooler and comfortable than other city in south India. Living in BnB is really a great experience to us. We even walk alone in the morning around... More

I stayed at this B&B from 23/6/2014 till 4/7/2014,it was my first trip to India and I had my own reason for staying in Mysore.Right from my arrival on their doorstep I was made to feel at home,Manjula is very talented, and I am so glad that my stay not only gave me a chance to sample her incredible meals but... In June 2014, I stayed here for a full day and night. Stephen's home is a wonderful place to stay. It's spotlessly clean and has all the amenities you'd want from a B&B, including wifi connectivity. Stephen, Manjula, and Lucy (with her wagging tail) make for wonderful hosts. There is great conversation to be had. Stephen has lots of stories... More

I was here last year due to being in Bylakuppe and leaving via Bangalore. Now that flights come to Mysore from Delhi, it is even more convenient for my thrice yearly visits to India - work. As I experienced last year, Stephen operates a fabulous B&B. Well priced, clean, helpful and always going that extra yard (hmm metre). Stephen is... More

Myself & Family stayed at B & B on 1st and 2nd June and one of the best place to stay for Holiday tour and too economical also. Mr.Stephen, an Englishman is a very nice person and has given his home for our stay. Only 2 double and 2 single rooms they have for guests and Mr. Stephen is not... More

Part of our March 2013, 10 day honeymoon trip to India included a 5 day stay at Mysore B&B. Steve was the perfect host in every way. Impeccably clean, excellent breakfasts, and a couple evening evening meals. Steve's personal bicycle tour provided "off the beaten track" interactions with the locals that most tourists completely miss out on.

Mysore B&B was the perfect place for our 3 night trip. It is located close to most of the sights that we wanted to cover namely the Zoo, Palace, Devraja Market, St. Philomena Church and a whole host of other places like Chamundi Hills, the new Sand Museum (that Stephen told us about) and also in close proximity to the... Stayed at the Mysore BnB in March for a couple of nights and enjoyed our stay immensely. It has been oversaid that this is a home from home, but I categorically disagree, how many homes can boast the warm, friendly welcome of the affable Stephen, or the cute smile and wonderful cooking of Manjula. Both went out of their way... More

Never written a review before, and never planned to, until I stayed here! Stephen and Manjula know exactly what people are looking for: a homely and friendly atmosphere, with clean rooms, and great food. We were given fantastic tips about where to go and what to see in Mysore, and we ended up staying 2 days longer than planned. We... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
You are very much sharing my home when you stay at the BnB. Its in a residential area ten minutes way from the Palace at the centre. We have a lounge, sun terrace, WiFi and we can offer collection from rail station or airport. There are four double bedrooms with two shared toilets and seperate bathrooms.. I'm Stephen, an English guy who's settled here for the past three years. We provide a good breakfast usually toast, scrambled egg, mushrooms, fruit, tea/coffee or indian by arrangement and a big favourite is Manjula's home cooking. We can advise on the best bits of wonderful Mysore and the surrounding area to suit your wishes and help with your continuing trip. We do believe that its the people that 'make the place' and we love making great new friends from our wonderfully diverse visitors. ... more   less
