poor service and very rude staff. we went there in april 2014 booked 3 huts and when we reached there we got worst service ever. There was nothing to eat there then we were charged 100rs for maggie. Remind you meals were included in charges but still we have to pay for it. Then every time we got poor service... More

This was my 3rd visit to Camp potters hill,Shimla. Earlier I had paid Rs.1500/- per person for 1 night stay and 3 meals. This time me and my partner had a business meeting in Chandigarh, so we both planned along with our wives that after our meeting will head for Camp potters hill, we reached @ 8:30pm in the night... i wanted to go somewhere in india to have a break from that exhausting heat, crowd and "madame madame, good price!!!!" and it was perfect for that. nice fresh air, friendly people, and 20-25°C. i was having a shower under a waterfall, we were rappling and wandering and other stuff. we got buckets with warm water in the morning and... I went here with a group of friends in May. This is not a hotel but a set of cottages giving you breathtaking views of the valley. It is located very far from the hustle and bustle of the main city which is what makes it all the more attractive. The service received was simply superb. We reached at 3... More

I went to this place along with 20 of my friends. The camp is located almost 5 kms away from nearest road and the trail to reach the camp goes through a dense jungle. Camp in which I stayed was with attached toilet with running water and a gas geyser. Bed was equipped with electric warmer. Food and service was... More

We visited Camp Potter's Hill in October, so it was off season and there were not a lot of people around. The location is lovely, surrounded by trees and away from the noise and bustle of Shimla's mall. We were two couples and two kids and we stayed in the wooden cottages. The cottages were clean, though a little basic.... More

My father and I (in our 40's and 60's) travelled to India for a 9 day sightseeing and trekking tour (ultimate aim to spend some quality time together). The trip had been booked as a gift through Groupon and the Indian Travel Centre and Camp Potters Hill was our third accommodation/bed and breakfast stay. Our overall package included a driver... Camp Potter Hill is situated in a corner of Shimla near railway line far from maddening crowd of Shimla. It has basic room facilities and you get a feel of staying in a jungle with a few minutes drive to the mall. What is good: 1- Atmosphere is lovely. Real Jungle living but no views as you are surronded by... More
