This is a wonderfully located, homely place to stay when in New Delhi. Easy access to the Metro and reliable taxi service..easy walk to Lodhi Gardens and Khan Market...clean...and a pool! Breakfasts are great but I suppose my only wish could be that slightly more interesting lunches and dinners were available... And that the safe provided in the room was... More

I've stayed at Lutyens Bungalow many times before, and each and every time I arrive there I get a huge, warm welcome. It is 'home from home' with the added bonus of a swimming pool - especially when the temperatures reach the mid forties! The accommodation is comfortable and clean. All in all, it is a safe and secure venue,... More

This family-run guest house is a home from home - you feel part of the family yourself. The rooms are simple and small but kept clean (and some have recently been repainted), the wifi is reliable, the (vegetarian) food is good and your fellow guests at the communal meal table are likely to be doing interesting things in India. The... More

very helpful staff all round. We visited a few days before we were going to stay and saw the pool was green, so we requested them to get the pool in working order before we came and they did a very good job of it. We were very thankful because we love to swim and it would have been very... More

I really did like Lutyens Bungalow. It is such a luxury to have so much greenery and space in the middle of a hectic city like New Delhi. I particularly liked the opportunity, created by a communal table, to talk to a very interesting range of fellow guests. Shukla was very helpful in arranging rail tickets and cars for sightseeing... We hugely enjoyed our stay here. The garden and pool were so nice and relaxing that there was a danger we could spend all our time in Delhi here rather than getting out and exploring! All meals are taken on the terrace, which is lovely, and lunch and dinner are on offer as well. The food is homemade and good.... More

I recently stayed here for a work assignment. The location was excellent, the staff were friendly and the garden was an oasis of calm in the bustling Delhi. The reason for my poor rating is due to the quality of the accomodation which wasn't as clean as it should be, the bed was uncomfortable and bascially the whole complex could... More

We stayed here for two nights at the start of a 10 day trip to India. We were made to feel very welcome, a delicious lunch was provided for us on arrival with wonderful homemade bread and all the other meals we had were equally good. The room was simply furnished, clean and perfectly adequate for our needs. Best thing... More

This is a wonderful place, it is hard to believe in the middle of a teeming city there is this old home with rooms opening onto a lawn, gardens, trees full of birds and a swimming pool and its affordable. The owner has lived here for 50 years, it's like being invited into her home.
