I have been a regular guest here over the past three years, been a regular visitor to Delhi over the last 20 years and have stayed pretty much in all the top hotels in Delhi. The Met tops in Value for money , more importantly, there have been significant improvements in little details in the last few months on what... More

After reading reviews was a bit worried but the hotel was great! The pulbic areas were well maintained and pleasing to the eyes. Buffet breakfast which was included offered a large variety. Beds very comfy, rooms updated

To echo what earlier reviewers have said, previously a good hotel at reasonable price (for Delhi), however whilst the renovation is going on, best avoid. The staff have told me anywhere between 2 and 6 months. At 1am in the morning I was woken up by workers loading up trucks with rubble. Not what one needs with a meeting to... More

The Metropolitan is one of my regular places to stay in Delhi. The rooms are clean, the Japanese restaurant is great and it is a good value. That said, they just started remodeling the coffee shop and lobby. It is a bit of pandemonium so I'd look for another place to stay until construction is completed in May. On the... More

This hotel is five star, but is getting a tired look. Service is good, but prices are too high for what they are offering. In comparison with Taj, Taj takes the cake! It has lots of Japanese customers because it used to be a Nikko and old habits die hard! Clean and comfortable it lacks lustre. Many of the staff... More

Poolside is nice grab one of only 3 sun loungers or 8 chairs, I would not swim as watering hole for hundreds of pigeons. The hotel needs to invest in spiking all ledges Security although present is a joke, the security staff check cars entering but would not know a car bomb if it came out to say hello. Anyway... More

The Metropolitan must have been nice a long time ago, but now its rooms and bathrooms are outdated. They are clean enough. We traveled to many places in India and this was the most expensive hotel, in terms of rates, restaurant, and internet. Like the other hotels in India the Metropolitan charges for internet, and the fee is the highest... More

Stayed at this hotel in February 2010. Have been to New Delhi before and have been to other parts of India, so felt comfortable booking this after reading the reviews. I wasn't disappointed, overall the hotel was very good. I booked the Long Stay package at 7600 IR per night, what they don't tell you is you have to pay... More

We stayed here overnight before catching a flight. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless with lots of fresh towels. We ate in the Japanese restaurant which was a treat, then we went into the lounge bar where the cocktails and service were amazing, we were given free canapes and nibbles all night. Unfortunately we didn't have time... More

The hotel was OK in terms of comfort and facilities, but far too expensive, expecially the restaurants. We had a meal in the Indian Restaurant - Chutney - and actually felt guilty paying the bill. The cost was comparable to a London restaurant and could have fed an entire family in India for a year! We really did feel 'ripped... More
