Listen to the music underwater(!) whilst in the pool, have breakfast cooked for you on the beautiful sun dappled terrace, hang out and drink Scotch at the 1911 bar, get room service and watch a movie. It's a wonderful place to relax, particularly if you are coming out of the mountains after 6 weeks walking, which we were. The staff... More

Me and my partner traveled to this beauty of a hotel and had an absolutely amazing time. Our trip to Delhi was spectacular and the hotel made it even more so. The rooms are ageing but this adds to the nostalgic and old world charm of the property. The restaurants and food was great, a lot of choice. We especially... More

we stayed here 2 nights with the family; start of a 3 weeks trip through India. great place, nice rooms; great shower and great food. Dine in The Spice Route!! The only stupid thing they do is they ask money for wifi and that is not 2014.

You'll stay at The Imperial because you're a traveller who wants to re-connect with the golden age of travel. Delhi will undoubtedly have flashier, more modern hotels with more flasher amenities so if they're important to you, stay in those. But for me, the sense of calm and occasion I get when I see the crisp white uniforms of the... More

The Imperial takes you back in history, depicting India, during the British Raj and takes you on a journey back with hundreds of artistically framed and positioned photos and paintings - not to mention the royal ambiance. Rooms are good, although a bit smaller. (The exterior makes a bigger impression than the rooms). Service is very good and prompt. Another... More

The first thing to note is the extortionate wifi charge. There's no excuse. The hotel itself is very nice, as are the rooms. The housekeeping and bell staff are very helpful and friendly. That's where it ends. A wedding party blocked the hotel entrance when we arrived, so we were ushered out of the way. No major problem, but there... More

This Hotel really is amazing. It was everything that we had read, and heard about, and more. The setting is fantastic, the suite and view from it, brilliant. The service, everything you would expect, from one of the best Hotels in the world. My only little gripe, was that we booked half board, expecting to be able to dine in... More

If you ever wondered what it might have been like to visit India in the latter days of the British Raj, the Imperial will give you a glimpse of that bygone era. Built by the British in the early 30's the hotel has retained all of the charm and grandeur of that time but is updated with modern A/C, communications,... More

Being a Preferred Hotels Group's member, I booked a week at The Imperial through the group's website last year. This reservation process usually gives your a free internet access in this 5* hotel. But that time, when the bill arrived, I had the (bad) surprise to realise that I was charged for all the internet connections. The reason is that... More

We stayed at The Imperial for 4 nights and this is one of my favourite hotels in Delhi given it's very old world, colonial charm. I wish when we were making the reservation we were told that there was refurbishing/construction work going on. On a Sunday morning at 0845 we were rudely awakened to a power drill going off. After... More

Dear Guest, Its a pleasure to note your appreciation for the impeccable facilities & service at The Imperial. I apologize for the inconvenience caused due to refurbishment work that was going on at that time. We avoid giving rooms close to work happening so that our guests are inconvenienced due to the same. However, I regret to note that you... More
