We needed a place from only 7am to midnight. They answered back via email promptly and kindly let us in at 630am. Everything closed because of Tibetan New Years, but they brought breakfast and tea to our room! The room is basic, worn, leaky faucet, as we've come to expect in India budget travel. But the friendly, kind staff are... More

Found it very easy to pre-book a room. Email responses from the staff were very quick. Only stayed one night as I was in Delhi for a flight stopover. Thought the hotel was fine - basic, but clean and comfortable and with plenty of hot water! Staff were very friendly and helpful. As a solo female traveller I found it... More

If you're looking for luxury - this isn't the place - but of you're looking for a place to lay down and rest after travelling, and enjoy Tibetan hospitality this is a nice place. Rooms are simple, different rates for different style, i.e. AC, fan or no fan. Bathrooms have simple showers and western toilets; beds are on the harder... More

I've stayed at a few Majnu Ka Tilla guesthouses over the years and I have to say that Wongdhen House is my favorite so far. My husband and I paid 450 Rs for a double room with shared bathroom (fan, no A/C). The room was basic, yes, but kind of charming. The sheets and towels were clean, the staff was... More

This place was recommend by a friend who stayed there and I've since recommended a number of travelers to stay here because it's cheap and outside the chaos of Delhi and there aren't ample budget hostels that I would recommend (much better places if you can spend more). I stayed here for two weeks. Facts about the neighborhood: It's in... More

We chose to stay in this Tibetan area because we read that we could get better and nicer rooms for the same price as those in the famous Parhan Ganj backpacker area. At first, we got a double room for 700 rupees without A/C. The room and toilet was immaculately clean and had wifi. However, it was really hot in... More

We stayed at Wongdhen House with some American friends who live in India and have stayed there before. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the rooms are definitely quite basic and a bit run down. The restaurant has good Tibetan food--momos are great here, as is the honey lemon ginger tea, made from fresh ingredients. There is no heat... More

Wongdhen House is down one of the many alleyways that litter the MT (Majnu ka Tilla) Tibetan settlement on the Delhi outskirts. The area is by the Yamuna river and we were lucky enough to get a nice room (at the back of the building) with a view of the river. This also meant it wasn't very noisy nor was... More

Service here was okay and the rooms were basic, but clean and there was hot water. The staff were accommodating but not overly friendly. The restaurant, however, was amazing. Also, there is a nice rooftop view of the Yamuna River. The Tibetan area is neat, but full of beggars who will follow you relentlessly as you walk.
