If you're looking for tradition and local colour and warm, friendly hospitality then this is the place to stay. The roof terrace restaurant is charmingly bohemian and was visited by a very friendly tabby cat while we were there. If state -of-the-art bathrooms and swish foyers are your thing then stay elsewhere! The food is ridiculously cheap (to a London... More

Clean, friendly, quiet and peaceful family run hotel just a two minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the main bazaar in Paraganj. Good sized rooms with comfortable beds, aircon, ceiling fan and fridge. Lovely colourful and exotic roof top restaurant, serving excellent Indian breakfast and at the end of the day ice cold Kingfisher beer and delicious butter... More

Stayed here at the start of our Indian adventure. We wanted a place that did not look like a chain hotel and the Jyoti Mahal with its Rajistanni decor certainly got us in the mood! Its not the flashest nor is it in the best street but it gives you a real taste of India. The street life nearby is... More

For the price this hotel delivers a good Delhi option. The rooms are comfortable, excellent hot water, comfy bed, good air conditioning. It has an old touch of the raj feeling with carved wooden beds and Rajasthani embellishments. We loved the roof top restaurant, comfy couches, fragrant frangipani a charming finish to any Delhi day. The staff were helpful and... More

This was our first hotel on a quick tour of North India and we were pleasantly surprised with the welcome and the hotel decor considering the hustle and bustle outside. Our room was fine apart from the AC didn't work but we survived. Wifi was intermittent. The shower was really good and hot. Breakfast was basic and a little late... More

Great rooms all designed differently. TAke the time to watch delhis pigeon flying competition from the Roof top at sunset- makes for a good sundowner. Good places to enjoy typical local dhabba food nearby. A place that has its regular flow.

Though the decor of the hotel and bedrooms does the trick, a bit of TLC is urgently needed. Of course, this review is based on my OWN bedroom experience. Toilet seat old and dirty as all the other amenities in the bathroom. Though the sheets are washed, stains might have taken its best. Slept with a t-shirt around my pillow.... More

We landed in Delhi in the early hours and had expected an airport pickup, as offered in the hotel booking. Unfortunately for us no one appeared to take us to Jyoti Mahal and we had to hail a cab. The cab driver wasn't too sure where he was going but was hindered by the fact that the roads around the... More

Stayed her for 1 night. Hotel is located in an alley. At first I was a bit skeptical but everything worked out. I was glad it was away from the hustle and buslte. It's close to the market and walking distance to connaught place. Room was spacious. There was no heater. Internet was slow. Restaurant was nicely decorated and food... More
