My wife and I visited the Jungle Lodge in June and stayed for three nights. Everything about this place is wonderful. We stayed in the open air cabana at the top of the hill. The environmentally conscious design was tastefully done. The room had an expansive view of the water and the canopy. Every morning we got wake to the... more

My wife and I visited Panama for the first time in October and decided to stay at La Loma for the majority of our stay. Upon our arrival we realized that the photos of La Loma were an understatement of the beauty of the location and of the lodge itself. From the stunning accommodations to the sunrises in the morning... more

La Loma is a very special place. As all the other reviewers have mentioned, everything is perfectly executed. We stayed in cabin 2 and the amazing view across Bahia Honda was absolutely worth the walk up the hill. The cabins are rustic but comfortable and stylish. The food was beautifully prepared and always delicious (check out the excellent review in... more

I have never done a review before, but was so overcome by the beauty of La Loma, i could not resist... La Loma is such a special place that captures the beauty and diversity of Panama. Nestled in forest of Isla Bastamientos, it is a quiet escape in nature but accessible to everything. We took adventures around the area each... more

What an experience. We stayed in Cabana number 1 which is the only one with electricity and is the shortest walk from the dining area and dock. I can’t say enough about the hosts and the food – absolutely delicious! Everything was organic and the meals were gourmet. The best part was taking a hike from La Loma over to... more

I surprised my husband and two kids with a vacation at La Loma for five nights in March. It is almost four weeks later and we still talk about it EVERY DAY! What an incredible experience. Margaret and Henry are so kind and very interesting to talk to. They are incredibly upbeat and cheerful and are quick to attend to... more

La Loma Lodge is an incredible place. Henry and Margaret have created a thoughtful, beautiful and unique destination in the middle of the jungle. The attention to detail is pervasive and impressive. This is a rustic experience that has so many elegant touches. The simple cabins have fresh tropical flowers, the wooden pathways are lined with lush tropical plants and... more

There’s really nothing new we can add to the already glowing reviews of La Loma – everything is true. We stayed for four nights in the second cabin which has gorgeous views. The cabin is simple but tastefully out fitted. There’s no electricity (you won’t miss it) but plenty of lanterns and a flashlight for the path down to dinner.... more

This is the most amazing place. Henry and Margaret, the owners, are fantastic. The food was brilliant. The location is perfect. The ambience cannot be beat. I wish I could stay there every year. And, it's a thousand times nicer than staying at one of those bungalows over the water (I did that as well). If you can get a... more

I don't "do" writing reviews. It's just not my thing, haven't got the time etc. However, how could i not write a review about this amazing place? Our cabin had views which were out of this world, we were treated like family by Henry and Margaret, and the food was beyond compare. What really makes La Loma is the intimacy... more
