This is a should-have review. I should have written it a year ago. My husband and I are in our 70's and have traveled to many wonderful place but Tranquilo Bay is among the very best. Do you have a vacation spot that is always is in the back of your mind, occasionally surfaces, bringing back a flood of warm... More

I knew I would love this place even before I went there, but it exceeded even my high expectations. I was impressed by the comfort, service, location, great guides, and the sheer number of neat things to do. My cabin was spacious and tastefully decorated. It had hot water, ceiling fan, air conditioning, coffee maker, table, chair, and desk. Full... More

Our family (couple, 3 young boys, and my dad) booked last minute (like, the day before) for 3 nights here after being "stuck" in Panama due to a cancelled flight, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We couldn't have found anything better had we researched for weeks! We were picked up at the airport, took a quick van... More

My husband Bob and i stayed here for 3 nights. Jim, Jay and Renee did an outstanding job with this place. They made us feel like we were part of their family. Jim's sister Gail was in the kitchen and she is an awesome chef. Natalia and Ramon were incredible guides. We went snorkeling with jellyfish with Ramon and had... More

My boyfriend and I stayed three nights here and about 5 hours in, we were asking to stay another night. This is one of my favorite places in the world (that's right, the world). At first I was a bit intimidated by the price, but it was worth every penny. The fee includes every meal (the food was delicious) as... More

Thanks to Natalia, we believe! It was a mad dash from our cabins into the jungle, in our PJ's, to view the elusive Night Monkey- twice actually but worth the endeavor. Many thanks to Renee, Jim and Jay and the entire staff for making our family vacation a truly memorable experience. Who wouldn't love a trip where the biggest decision... More

Stayed here over the holiday and it was a wonderful time. The grounds are like walking through a botanical conservatory and the cabanas are spacious and nice. Renee, Jim, Jay, Natalia, and Ramon were so friendly and would bend over backwards to make sure you had everything you needed. From the time they meet you at the airport till the... More

Great family trip! Loved the Owners! Employees were Outstanding! Great accommodations! My kids said this was the best trip they ever had within the first 3 hours. But the best thing about the trip were the Guides. They went out of the way to make this a great trip for me and my kids.

Many thanks to Jay, Jim and Renee for the outstanding time I had a few weeks ago at Tranquilo Bay Resort. What a beautiful place! Great staff, good food, and comfortable and lovely accommodations. I was there mostly for the fishing, and despite being off season, I caught 4 nice tarpon and an assortment of other game fish. The owners... More

We loved this place. Jim, Jay and Renee, the Texans who own and run it, are simply awesome people and go out of there way to organise your day- snorkelling, surfing (world class on the right day), bird watching, jungle hiking, fishing, animal spotting, kayaking, etc. Jim and Jay built the place themselves and spared no expense and effort doing...
