My wife and I have traveled to many foreign countries together, and this is (by far) one of the most amazing places we have ever been. The wonderful staff, the beautiful natural surroundings, and the comfortable accomodations make Tranquilo Bay an incredible place to visit. We would live there if we could. The owners are excited by the place that... more

My husband and I just spent 4 fantastic days and nights at this remote yet exquisite resort. The ordeal these two couples endured to create this paradise is jaw-dropping, and the more we learned, the more impressed we were. It also helps that each individual is charming, learned, and delightful to be with. The food was wonderful and all activities... more

We visited Tranquilo Bay in March with another family and would recommend it to other adventure loving families. Although Tranquilo Bay is remote and minimalistic, it is well designed and not rustic. It is a location for families that like to explore and be active. It is not suited for the sit by the pool and drink mai tai crowd.... more

We enjoyed a 5-night stay at Tranquilo Bay (Not long enough)! While sitting around the dinner table the night before our departure with Jack & Ingrid, friends we met during our stay, Jack said words to this effect "The problem with writing a review in Trip Advisor is that words cannot relay the feeling behind the experience we have had... more

We visited Tranquilo Bay for a week over New Year's with our daughters aged 14 and 17. We all had an incredible time and were extremely impressed with everything. We were looking for a 'real', off-the-beaten-track experience as opposed to the experience of an all-inclusive beach resort where you're one of a thousand people and you could be anywhere because... more

Tranquilo bay is such a fantastic all inclusive resort, set amongst beautiful islands in the caribean sea. The staff are really what make this resort work, with there never failing enthusiasm to give you an amazing experience and cultural understanding of Panama and its people. The day trips that are on offer within your package range from being dropped off... more

We love to travel to remote places where you are off the beaten tourist track, have lots of active activities (hiking, kayaking, etc), and have access and exposure to true local experiences. If you like that as well, this is the place for you. All of that is made even better by the fact that Tranquilo Bay's accommodations are extremely... more

For those who are interested in a beautiful adventure in nature, there is no better place than Tranquilo Bay. My wife and I went during the rainy season, in July, but we were lucky and the rain did not hamper us at all. Each day, Jim or Jay (the owners) would take us on a different adventure. The first day,... more

I chose Tranquilo Bay as our final desination in Panama partly because of the rave reviews on TripAdvisor. And every compliment paid to Jim, Jay, Renee and Stephanie on these pages is well deserved. The whole place is exquisite. The cabanas are beautiful and incredibly comfortable. The location is stunning. The food is incredible. The hospitality is second to none.... more

We were looking for a nice place to stay in Bocas with our two young kids while on our way back to the US from Cartagena, Colombia. We initially contacted Casa Cayuco, which was closed and recommended Tranquilo Bay. We're glad they did. The resort was hand-built by the owners over a 5 year period and shows tremendous pride in... more
