Stayed for 4 nights in January 2015. Because Al Natural is off the grid, plan and you will have a wonderful time. It is like camping on the beach. Because you eat with and see the same people there is a dependency on who is there with you. The people (Vincent and Abner) are wonderful and we found the guests... More

When we travel we want: close to nature, good food, not a lot of people, possibility to walk off in nature on our own, wild life close, good snorkeling and diving, freindly and service minded personel, flexibility, layed back, quiet, far from cities, no fancy dressing for meals... Al natural was the absolute perfect place for us in all means.... More

Located right on the beach, this cluster of huts offers a rustic oasis in the tropical jungle. One should not expect the luxury of a 5 star mega resort, but rather a quiet and comfortable retreat without wifi and phones. Excursions are offered every day, meals are simple but very adequate. Safety is NOT an issue, and Abner (the omnipresent... More

We spent two weeks at Al Natural, from 20 December, 14 to 5 December, 15. Nothing but grand and gracious reviews for Michel, Vincent, Abner (owner, chef and dive instructor, respectively) and all of the staff at Al Natural. What is Al Natural? It is a resort like no other; it is a way to rid oneself from the commercials,... More

The good news is that the location of Al Natural is truly exceptional - a fringe between the sea and the jungle with sloths, caimanes (crocodiles), monkeys and bats literally on one side and the beach on the other with opportunities for swimming, snorkelling or diving if the weather permits. Plus, when we visited at least, no biting bugs. Wonderful... More

Thank you to Michel, Michelle (owners), Abner (all round dive and excursion director, bartender, social director and wonderful soul!), Vincent (chef extraordinaire) and all the others we didn't get to know by name. Al Natural is serious about being eco-conscious, and still offers a superior vacation experience. The location on the beach, the huts, the communal dining area, the delicious... More

We rarely return to the same vacation spot, but my family of five was compelled to return to Al Natural exactly ten years after our first visit (the first trip was in December of 2004; the second in December of 2014). Both visits were made memorable by the staff, the location, and the very concept of the resort. My family... More

My husband and I stayed at Al Natural in November 2014. My feelings about the experience are very mixed. I'll list the pros and cons so readers can make informed choices: PROS: The huts were really special. Simple, but special. We stayed in the Natural House, which is the original hut built at Al Natural. It was the "cheapest" hut... More

Al Natural is a completely different experience from any other hotel or resort you've ever stayed at. It's a nature immersion perfect for those looking to escape from everything for a while (yes, there's no wifi here!) When you arrive you're welcomed by the energetic Abner, a fun, friendly and hard working guy who is there for anything that you... More

what a place... amazing resort run by a great group of staff. though the office worker on Isla Colon wasnt all that friendly the staff at the resort on Isla Bastimentos made you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive with a warm 'welcome to paradise' from Adner greeting you off the boat. though definitely not luxury travel, the...
