We arrived at the Bocas airport and our handler, Cesar, was waiting with a smile. We were then taken to the Al Natural office/dock where, after a short wait, were taken through the beautiful mangroves of Basimentos to the Al Natural dock. Our bungalow was clean and comfortable and included a ceiling fan over our bed (Superior Bungalow is a... more

Stupid me. I wasn't thinking tropical island. In spite of the fact that it took two planes and two boats to get us into Bocas del Toro. The more I left behind the more I loved it. When we finally got there the sand was soft, the fellow who took our bags was graceous and we began an adventure I... more

We wanted to warn tourists about our bad experience with the owner of the resort. If our experience is any indication of what's in store for you, you may have very little recourse if things go wrong with your reservation at this resort. Some tips: - If you decide to go after reading this review, don't pay for the whole... more

Perhaps it was the month that we traveled but my partner and I were greeted with torrential rain, floods, and misery and the airport to the island was closed except for emergency shipments. For the entire time there (a full week), there were no way onto the island, and we never made it to Al Natural. Although no one was... more

A truly "Gilligan's Island" experience. Well described here by others. The communal table was a delight. I found the booking experience cumbersome and difficult with monies being sent via bank transfers and after receiving information that there were two nights available and sending money, receiving information that there was only one night available. The proprietor was very fair, but make... more

This was our first visit to Bocas and the Al Natural was a great choice for us. If you are "low maintenance" and adventurous and love simplicity and nature, then you will love it too. The process of making a reservation was a bit dodgy. My travel agent refused to make one because it required wiring money (no credit cards... more

These reveiws provide a good overview. Al Natural is a beautiful experience, but not for those who want a standard resort experience with 4 walls. The open cabanas provide a great connection to both the sea and the rain forest, but in Nov. of 2008 during a heavy rain storm with high winds we were glad it was check out... more

Staying at Al Natural is truly an experience. We loved the hospitality and ambiance of the "resort". The open bungalows were like nothing we had done before (my son calls it "The Stick House"). The food was super. The snorkeling and beaches were just ok (unless you ask my 5 yr old who would say they were fabulous!). The resort... more

Al Natural is truly a hidden gem in Bocas. The "bungalows" as they are reffered to by 'Martin" allow for that feeling of living outdoors in Nature, while at the same time affording the comforts of hot showers, king size bed, mosquito nets, hammocks, etc. The pillow top 180 degree views of the bay and distant cloud shrouded mountains are... more
