We loved our jungalow in the rainforest. To hear the sounds at night was great. To see the monkeys when standing in the shower was super! Aron and the panamian staff made us and our children feel at home. We were not impressed by the american 'tourist' staff. Unfortunately they do not serve with a smile at all:( guess time... More

Beautiful beachfront haven - we couldn’t have asked for a more fun and relaxing experience. Palmar was able to perfect accommodate our group of 8. My boyfriend and I stayed in a anthropology-worthy tent with a queen size bed, equipped with a large trunk to lock away our valuables. If you’re a couple you have got to try the private... More

Right next to the beach, Palmar tent lodge is perfect for anyone who is looking for a tranquil, beach getaway. From the main island, isla colon, its a short boat ride and walk in. The price is right. There is a open lodge to buy tasty meals and drinks. The atomThere's a covered, quiet yoga area that you are welcome... More

We fell upon this place on google while we were in Bocas Town and we decided to give it a try... BEST DECISION EVER. We were on a short 3-week trip and we would have spent all our 3 weeks there if we didn't have a friend waiting for us in Costa Rica. When you arrive, you hike a short... More

AVOID MEDIOCRITY and stay here! Definitely the best piece of Bocas...This tech-free, beach front, Eco lodge, yoga retreat piece of beauty is undoubtedly somewhere you just get stuck. The tents are beautiful and just private enough if you feel like escaping but the main lodge is like mum's kitchen and the warm heart of Palmar and you'll invariably feel at... More

There was 13 of us, my family of 6 and our friends family of 7. Sebastian (one of the owners) was great! we didn't get in until almost midnight, on our drive to get to Bocas Del Toro we got delayed by three separate protests along the way. Sebastian got us our tents that night, then finished checking us in... More

Loved this place. It's a small, funky tented camping style property with outdoor showers and a really fun, hip restaurant and bar. The food was pretty good - pizza night is the best. The beach was beautiful and there is a super cool hike not too far from there where you can spot the little red frogs for which Panama... More

These guys have a cool thing going on here- the food is good, the bar is cool and the setting is idyllic. However, they are not maintaining it well and the rooms are hugely overpriced! Outdoor shared showers and toilets are a nice touch in the jungle but not for the prices you pay here! The staff are mainly volunteers... More

Hi Ellie, First of all, I want to sincerely apologize for your experience. It truly upsets us anytime we hear that someone had a less than fantastic experience at Palmar. We live here because we love it, and want to share it with our guests. Any case where we fail to meet expectations is taken very seriously. I would like... More

Right on the beach -- with delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere -- it was the perfect spot for my group of friends on our recent trip to Bocas del Toro. It is located (quite literally) in the jungle, so that you feel immersed in nature, but still with the benefits of a bed, running water, and lock boxes in... More
