My family (wife, 7 year old son, and myself) just spent 8 Days at Palmar. This was the best trip of our lives. Everything about Palmar is just amazing. It is right on the beach, with cool tents in the jungle. There is an open air restaurant bar with incredible food on the beach. The day trips we booked were... More

I loved this place so much that I didn't want to leave! Red Frog Beach right outside the lodge is beautiful, and so relaxing. The team there made everything easy (almost too easy!) to order food, and drinks. The food was tasty, and the prices not to high. I was expecting the prices to be higher. The bathrooms and showers... Give it to me ALLL DAAYYYYYYY!!!! We didn't stay here, so I can't say anything about the tents. But the folks around the bar seemed to like their... More

Palmar Tent Lodge is magical. My boyfriend and I spent a week here and it felt like it was out of a fairytale! From sleeping in a real bed that's in a tent literally in the middle of the jungle, to perfect waves along a not crowded beach, to beach front yoga, we could not have asked for more. The... More

I'll start by saying that we LOVED Palmar! We stayed in the Jungalow for three nights and four days. We literally never left the beach. So beautiful. So much fun! You can swim in the waves all day or rent boogie boards from the spot next door ($5). We brought own rum and spiked the smoothies from the same spot.... More

just spent a great week at Palmar! Never thought I would enjoy staying in a tent in the jungle but thoroughly enjoyed the experience! This is not for everyone, it's a little difficult to get to but worth it if you want a peaceful vacation where you can disconnect for a while. Great concept, we had a two bed tent,Limon... More

If you like sun, sand, good food, drinks and and surf this is the place. When you have had a big day with lots of exercise on the beach stay for dinner and order the "Island Chicken" and enjoy. This place is truly paradise.

We spent the better part of November and December in Panama at Red Frog Beach. The people at Palmar are top notch, professional and very friendly. The grounds and facilities are maintained impeccably. The food is always fresh because they bring it in daily from Bocas Town. We ate many meals at Palmar and tried a wide variety of items... More

Just concluded a four night stay at Palmar Tent Lodge. This is a very unique property. I combines a minimalist Eco-tourism feel with that of a luxury beach resort . My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The location is really perfect, on a beautiful spot on Red Frog Beach. The owner is a great guy, and most of... More

Really unique lodging. Beautiful location and great concept, but difficult to pull off. The tents are back away from the beach, so no breeze to keep things cool. Sleeping in the tent was pretty uncomfortable as things stay pretty hot and wet. The bar and restaurant were very nice, a party atmosphere that was pretty fun. A lot of the... More

Hi Ryan, Thanks for your feedback. We are sorry that you didn't think the tent was very comfortable. Each one is equipped with a three speed fan, as well as a light. All of the tents are waterproof, so I'm not sure what could have been wet inside. Perhaps you meant that your clothes were damp from the humidity? You... More
