My friends and I decided to stay at Palmar after visiting the beach and having a couple of drinks a day earlier. We figured even if it was awful, it would make for some funny stories. Luckily, it was AWESOME and we still had great stories! Palmar was the perfect balance of disconnecting from the things you want to leave... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Palmar for one night and wished we could have stayed there longer. This place is absolutely amazing with its natural vibe and friendly staff. When we got there we say a lot of people hanging out in the lodge area and we didn't really know what to expect. As we got settled in... More

I stayed at Palmar for one week with a friend as part of a one month post-grad trip in Central/South America. We had heard about the lodge from friends and thought we would check it out during our time in Panama. The 10 hr bus ride from Panama City was well worth the trip once we arrived on the beachfront... This review is about the staff at Palmar Tent Lodge and how they really care about their clients. We are lucky enough to live near Red Frog Beach and regularly go there to enjoy the ambience of the tent lodge and the pizzas they serve every Saturday. On this particular day the cooks were having issues with the wood-fired pizza... More

Pros: price, great location, great beach, decent food. Cons: Tents seemed worn, pillows were moldy. Dogs all over the place, some who didn't seem too friendly. A great place for 20-30 year olds, with no kids! The scene wasn't really kid friendly, which is fine. The new owner seems to be trying really hard. He was engaging and did his... More

Palmar Tent Lodge is incredible! My boyfriend and I stayed in a private tent for 7 nights and our stay ended far too soon. Falling asleep surrounded by jungle, amazing yoga classes overlooking the Caribbean sea, sloth sightings within a ten minute walk from the hostel - not to mention the incredible cob-oven baked pizza on Saturday! We loved how... More

Wow this place is great! I stayed here for 2 nights in a private tent and loved the experience of staying in the jungle, 2 mins from a stunning beach. The Lodge's owners are really friendly and it's great to see how they've made the place eco-friendly and worked with the local people to develop the accommodation. The tents are... More

Unbelievable! Tents are a stones throw from one of the nicest beaches in bocas. Warm water, great body surfing waves and a friendly and accommodating staff. The kayaks are a ton of fun, but be careful as the waves sometimes get the best of you. My friend and I got tossed a few times (all in good fun) and the... More

I stayed at Palmar for a little over a week, and boy I wish I could've stayed longer! The place is very serene and original. I stayed at the dorm tent, and it was spacious and comfortable. Everything was excellent, and I especially enjoyed the yoga sessions with the waves breaking and the sound of the jungle as the background... More

Beautiful and original place to live on the beach, with jungle sounds to sleep. I was there for 2 weeks and had a great experience being in contact with nature, practicing yoga and enjoying the sea. I slept in a dorm, which I found spacious and comfortable beds. The lockers were huge so I could put my whole backpack. Good... More
