I took a tent at the Palmar for 2 nights and was pretty happy I tried that experience! The tent itself is big enough and have a little fan (that will be you best friend at night), a big coffer that you can lock in all your stuff and a small furniture to put random belongings. You won't spend much... More

Palmar Tent Lodge is in the chillest location, nestled in lush jungle but also right on an amazing beach. The vibe was so good with a perfect mix of families, backpackers and all around good people. The owners are two dudes who seem to just want to surround themselves by wicked people in an awesome place. Also the food is... More

We spent 2 nights here at the end of our 9 day honeymoon in Panama. When we first arrived, I think my husband hated it, and I was worried. The tent was small, sticky feeling, and not really at all like the ones shown online - not as colorful or clean looking. After a few hours, and hanging out in... More

Staying at Palmar Tent Lodge for the end of the trip would have been perfect: totally lazed and relaxed, where you have your book but don’t actually open it because you’re smelling the ocean air, listening to the waves and feeling the sand, and then head home. But I had three more days in Panama City. Nevertheless, for 2.5 days,... More

We had a great time at the Palmar tent lodge. It's a completely self-sustainable campsite with great tents in the middle of the jungle, rather basic showers (running on rainwater ;) and a nice hangout place on the edge of the beach where you can get drinks, great cocktails and good basic food. The boys and girls running the place... More

We made a reservation for two nights and had to change to arrive a day early. Became a house of cards shuffle. First extra $10 each night for laundry now added then ok to change dates no problem. Then after altering our plans 24 hours later but you must still pay for last night as well as other new night... More

Our experience with Mr. Scott has proven to be one of the most bizarre customer service experiences we have ever had. Still, we cannot begin to understand what it is he wanted, or what could have possibly caused his sudden rage. Several of our staff have had a read through, and we can discern no string of logical thought in... More

While getting to Bocas can be a little time consuming, the trip to Palmar is well worth the effort. The young studs who run this upscale hostel make "glamping" an experience like none other. During my extensive and continuously extended stay at Palmar, I had the good fortune to see amazing wildlife like monkeys, sloths, and fosferescent plankton. As Palmar... More

Palmar is a piece of paradise that I was fortunate enough to spend two weeks at recently. This place is beautiful both inside and outside. The moment I stepped through the doorway I felt totally welcomed and safe. As a woman traveling alone it was great to know I was in good hands here. The tents are sweet; minimalistic, quiet... More

To start with: the location is absolutely great right at red frog beach and staff is friendly. The tents are OK, but think some need to be renewed. And the twin beds are a bit on the small side. There are no private showers attached to any of the tents as you maybe read in older reviews as they removed... More
