Absolutely loved this place. A brilliant location with awesome facilities and incredibly friendly staff. I stayed a week and it was probably one of the highlights of my 8 month trip. Highly recommended!

I spent an incredible week and a half here, what a place! Tropical forest meets surf beach and the tents are nestled into the forest. The weather was warm all day and all night and strangely no mosquitos. I did yoga every day, sometimes at night by candle light. Swimming, hiking, snorkeling, playing beach soccer with all the crew in... More

This place is exactly as described on their website. The new 'ish' owners are extremely friendly and couldn't be more welcoming. We spent our days lying in a hammock with a cocktail/beer in hand. A really relaxed atmosphere with a nice community feel. There is no wifi, but this is a nice novelty and encourages conversation as opposed to people... More

I absolutely loved this place. I cant speak highly enough of the location, property and the amazing staff who were so friendly and welcoming! You are right on one of the nicest beaches in Panama (people come by water taxi just to spend time on the beach), and also right in the jungle. The dorm tents were really clean and... More

My only regret is that I didn't stay longer.. only a great reason to return. I was hesitant to try "glamping" because of the cheese factor so only planned to stay for 2 days. Big mistake. This was the perfect balance of authenticity and comfort. Palmar runs a tab for you so you dont need to carry money around which... More

My friends and I decided to stay at Palmar after visiting the beach and having a couple of drinks a day earlier. We figured even if it was awful, it would make for some funny stories. Luckily, it was AWESOME and we still had great stories! Palmar was the perfect balance of disconnecting from the things you want to leave... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Palmar for one night and wished we could have stayed there longer. This place is absolutely amazing with its natural vibe and friendly staff. When we got there we say a lot of people hanging out in the lodge area and we didn't really know what to expect. As we got settled in... More

I stayed at Palmar for one week with a friend as part of a one month post-grad trip in Central/South America. We had heard about the lodge from friends and thought we would check it out during our time in Panama. The 10 hr bus ride from Panama City was well worth the trip once we arrived on the beachfront... This review is about the staff at Palmar Tent Lodge and how they really care about their clients. We are lucky enough to live near Red Frog Beach and regularly go there to enjoy the ambience of the tent lodge and the pizzas they serve every Saturday. On this particular day the cooks were having issues with the wood-fired pizza... More

Pros: price, great location, great beach, decent food. Cons: Tents seemed worn, pillows were moldy. Dogs all over the place, some who didn't seem too friendly. A great place for 20-30 year olds, with no kids! The scene wasn't really kid friendly, which is fine. The new owner seems to be trying really hard. He was engaging and did his... More
