We really enjoyed staying in this hostel , a mixture of lush tropical gardens & clean well kept rooms . we were in a double with the shared shower & a small but adequate kitchen. Sandra organised an interesting tour ( i think with Tio Toms ) & then had a super steamed fish dinner for when we returned .... More

This is the place for nature lovers at the edge of a little town. The tropical garden is full of red frogs which find a protected shelter on the grounds and you can spend bird watching all day. Rooms are clean, quiet and overlook the bay. Hammocks on the porch and in the community area. Bastimentos is for nature lovers... More

We were recommended this place in Costa Rica & glad we were to stay here for 5 days . We only left the hammacks to venture to the Wizard beach or to pop out & eat in one of the few good local restaurants . We stayed in the lower suite , great value at 40 dollars . clean &... More

For a rustic jungle lodge stay check out Beverlys Hill located a short walk from the main dock. Watch your step as you are likely to encounter one of the 100 tiny red poison dart frogs on the property :) These little creatures are amazing and fascinating. If you like birds you'll enjoy this place as well as there were... More

We stayed in the lower suite for 4 nights , it was lovely , clean & well kept with a fantastic display of birds in the mornings , the seaview as a fitting backdrop . The hostel has a lush garden with plenty of the famous dart frogs popping about . There are some nice restaurants close by as well... More

Unfortunately, we didn't have a good stay here. At night there were many bugs, and then I mean 4-5 5cm long cockroaches. We even found a scorpion in our bag the next day! I've stayed in the jungle before but this just want pleasant. For the rest the owner is friendly and the room was fine. There's als not much... More

We actually stayed here back in December 2007. I'd always dreamed of spending Christmas Day on a 'desert island' with a cocktail in hand and the sun blasting down. This island is so small there are NO roads thus NO cars. It seemed ideal... it rained for the ENTIRE week. None. Stop. The weather was stunningly glorious on the day... More

We had a double room with shared bathroom and a small, sparely equipped kitchen. The room was small but still comfortable and big enough for two people. The linen and towels could have been cleaner. Breakfast is not included but Sandra prepares one if you wish. The water supply is based on rainwater utilisation. So if the system is down... More

We stayed in the Beverly's for 3 nights. As it was practically empty we got the cabin with the sea view which was well worth the money. Good contact with Simon the owner via e-mail. The rooms have all the amenities you need (3 fans, shower with hot water if you wish, mosquito net, hammock on the terrace + even... More
