Coconut Hostel looks very tropical from the exterior, and the interior is very basic and "rugged". A dorm bed costs about $12/night, and the staff is very, uh, relaxed with their guest policy as their only record of your stay is whatever name you tell them to write in their paper composition book. They will then point at a room... More

the reason why we stayed in this hostel is because all the other ones we had seen were full. The short stay we spent at Coconut was terrible. Here are the reasons why (not exhaustive list) : 1) the rooms are not completly closed, as there is a large space between the top of the wall and the roof. Then... More

The prices are a little cheaper than the average prices in the island and you might get a discount if you stay for more than two nights. The bathroom is a little wierd and no hot water (which is common in this area). The owner and staff are very friendly and helpfull and there is a breakfast of one pancake... More

My partner and I stayed here as I last minute thing as everywhere else was booked out , after the first night I woke up with bites all over me everywhere and they were itchy as hell , I just assumed it was Mosquito bites as the room is not fully closed in . After 4 nights it continued to... More

Writing this from the hostel itself because I cannot sleep. The hostel itself was noisy until 11:30 pm and now I can hear the bar down the road, even with earplugs in. I had gone to bed earlier (9:30) since I have to travel tomorrow, but I have been awake since they decided to show the room to someone at... More

The beauty of this place lies in the fact that it is family run and that it has a garden. One can sit infront of the hous and watch the street life of this extra ordinary palce. The rooms arent very luxurious but fine for this price. the kichen is spaceous and well equiped and there is good wifi.

The best hostels in town tend to get fully booked, and Coconut is a good alternative if that happens. The atmosphere is great and the staff is amazing. Crampy dorm rooms but decent beds. Lockers, guide books, pancake breakfast and a nice outdoor area for socializing.

We were woken up by drums and music and loid voices 4 times after the posted quiet hours of 11pm until 1am! When we asked them to be quiet, they laughed at us. We went to complain to the staff and found out it was their friends making the noise. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Nice cramped ugly Hostel with Dirty Old appliances, nasty Kirchen, non englisch speaking Staffel. I came back from the Bars One Night only to find sömebody sleeping in my Bunk. I slept ön a Friends hammöck. They refused to refund. I had Booked for two Nights, they wouldn't refund the next Night Esther, so i was stuck in that hell hole... More

I pretty ambivalent about this place. First the pros; there's a great ambiance at night if you like meeting people and do party, you are at the right place. It's well situated as well close to the parc where you can grab some stuff to eat. You can store your things in the freezer (someone took my botle of water)... More
