Myself and my partner stayed in Casita 1 at the end of March 2015. As many have already commented but it is worth saying again; Heather is a very good hostess. She has made sure that the Casita is the perfect mix of nature retreat and creature comforts. You are given a cell phone and access to internet which makes... More

Enjoyed every moment of our stay at Monkey Tree Casitas. We stayed in Casita 1 which is surrounded by lush rain forest and thick jungle. Woke one morning to the sound of the Howler Monkeys outside our place. Watched as they played, swinging from tree to tree. A real treat! The casita was very clean and comfortable and kitchen well... Admittedly this accomodation was slightly more expensive than i would normally pay for but not wanting to stay in the centre of town and being drawn to the name i thought i would treat myself for a couple of days. This was the best decision i made! The casita itself was incredibly spacious and immaculate (fresh flowers on the table... More

We stayed at Monkey Tree in Casita #1 for 8 nights & I loved every minute of it! The large, wrap around deck is the perfect place to relax, in the hammock or lounging on the day bed, experiencing the sounds, sights & smells of the jungle. On the first morning a troop of howler monkeys played in the canopy... More

I can't begin to describe how mystical it is to live in a casita that feels like a treehouse with a troop of howler monkeys as neighbors. Our casita was comfortable, surrounded by lush tropical growth, and rusticly nostalgic, outfitted in tropical hardwoods, shutters and ceiling fans. There was no need for air conditioning, bug spray (though I hear that... More

This place has the perfect combination of a quiet jungle like setting along with the beach being super accessible! The Calista has a beautiful bathroom and roomy bedroom. The open deck allows you to enjoy the sounds of the morning birds and the waves in the distance all while sipping coffee. We utilized the filled equipped kitchen on a daily... More

We travelled in bocas del toro in January 2015 and stayed at Monkey Tree. We were in casita 2, 2 beds, kitchen and living area, with screen windows, that give you the impression that you are outside. Kitchen is perfect for breakfast and for those nights in. There is also a pizza place next door, the makes amazing wood oven... More

Whether bicycling or taking (inexpensive) taxis to town and elsewhere, this is the only place to stay on Isla Bocas. Peace and quiet, gorgeous lush surroundings, lovely casitas and a helpful friendly host. My only suggestion is to screen in the porch of Casita 1 for an even more perfect experience without mosquitos! Would definitely choose again!

Monkey Tree is about one hour walking from the town and it can give you almost an isolation experience among nature. We loved the Casita, fully furnished, good for cooking (since you are far from most restaurants) and peaceful. The beach is just across the street. We had problems with our reservation three days before arriving, but the owner helped... More

The tree houses are absolutely adorable with everything you could need for a long stay. The grounds are stunning and you will be amazed at how gorgeous it is. We really liked how it's outside of town bc Bocas town is very loud and crazy so it was nice to leave the craziness and stay in the serene jungle. I... More
