I had a great time. BTW: The website doesn't do justice. It's much more beautiful when you arrive. Things I did: - jogging on the beach - hiking and biking in the jungle. - surfing with the pros - reading in the beach hammock - Observing world class surfing at the front door. - Great stories from an array of... After staying here for 5 days and having read many reviews of almost all the hotels/inns in Bocas, I can safely say that this is the best place to stay on Isla Colon, if not all of Bocas del Toro (especially considering the reasonable price). The owners and staff are wonderful, warm, helpful, friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, interesting people. We always... More

We did not stay on this property, but i would highly recommend it for the location and the lovely owners and food. It is the furthest point on this road going to Playa Bluff Beach from Bocas Del Toro town. If you want something that is close to this amazing beach and jungle and more remote, it is for you.... Just got back from a holiday stay in Bocas. My wife, our 2 children (3 years old and 4 months old), and I stayed at Playa Bluff Lodge for 4 nights. It was the best thing we could have done as a family with 2 young children. You get the best of both worlds: the ocean and the jungle. Although... More

Playa Bluff lodge was great! the hospitality is unbelievable good, they were worried all the time for us. We had some troubles at the frontier and Helena was worried about us, she sent a taxi to pick us up. The room was very nice and clean, the bed is great but our room didn't have A/C.The beach is front of... More

Location is great, as the hotel is located in the jungle at the beach, miles away from the (not so attractive) town. You can walk for hours on the beautiful empty beaches, feels like paradise! The beautiful garden hosts several cages with frogs and other animals, very nice to see although the ecological value of holding animals in captivity is... More

We had an absolute blast in Panama. The Playa Bluff Lodge was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip. The owners (Helene and Reinier) are not only very hospitable people, you can really see that they enjoy what they are doing. Wildlife starts in their own beautiful garden and stories about saving snakes and catching fish are a delight... More

..and let's not forget the great breakfast, served every morning in the lovely garden by charming hostess Helene. The rooms are spacious and make you feel at home. Beach is just in front of the lodge and awesome, you can grab a bottle of wine or a beer out of the fridge at the lodge and drink it on the... More

If you are going to Panama for the wildlife, this is the place to go. Spend some time in the back yard of Playa Bluff Lodge, and you will see brilliantly coloured poison dart frogs, toads, bullfrogs, lizards, sloths, parrots, toucans, oropendolas, humming birds, woodpeckers. Your hosts will take the time to help you find the beautiful tree frogs. They... More

We, as a family, stayed 4 nights in August. It was our longest stay during our roundtrip in Panama and Costa Rica and we all liked it very much! The place itself is beautiful, with a impressive garden with all kinds of animals like the Jesus Christ Lizard, and a very nice beach on the other side of the road.... More
