I visited this resort with my then-girlfriend: she was soon my fiancee and has now been my wife for more than a decade. And our trip to Punta Caracol largely sealed the deal. The lodges are quaint and lovely for two people, the "mission style" beds are larger than a king and are really wonderful. The views are unparalleled, and... More

Location is amazing! Really spécial to have a bungalow with direct access to the sea. But don't expect to have the luxury confort you could have in other countries such as Maldives. Food in the evening is good. Everynight a new menu with choices. We did ask a specific bungalow (last one) but didn't get it 😠 The owner made... More

I have written a review of the Lodge after each of our 3 visits..with each stay becoming longer. This time for visit#4 we stayed for 6 nights, the longest ever. The mornings, days, and evenings could not be made more special by each staff member of the Lodge. Our meals were not only delicious but also daily fresh ingredients were... More

This is a spectacular resort for water lovers. My husband and I enjoyed three nights at Punta Caracol. Where else can you sit on a patio and watch fish jump and sting rays float by? The food was fantastic and the drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. A typical dinner included your choice of three appetizers, two entrees, and three... More

I very much enjoyed my 3 days at the Lodge - sitting on the porch and watching dolphins an other sea life swim by. So relaxing, which is what I needed. Snorkeling around my cabana ran into large barracuda and stingray, besides all the other fish. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were wonderful. Dinners were boring -... I (male) stayed at Punta Caracol with 3 friends sharing a whole appartment which is though for 4 people. We had a double bed upstair (very small) and two single beds downstairs. Positive: Peace, away from Bocas town, silence Negative: Oh boy, where to start: - value for money: absolutely overpriced for the "service" you get. The staff does speak... More

We came for the weekend from Panama City. It is in a beautiful get-away-from-it-all location and peaceful (apart from a few boats). We enjoyed being able to jump straight into the water from the deck outside our rooms and kayaking in and around the mangroves was fantastic. There isn't a lot to do there apart from swim, sunbathe and relax.... More

Spent several days in this quaint little hotel on the water. The pros: service was excellent, from the owner Pilar to all the staff in the restaurant! Office and boat captains, Jorge, Luis, Lionel, Ismael, Stefanie, Norberto and "McGyver". The cleaning staff even washed my daughter's muddy shoes without beung asked. The office manager, Stefanie, helped us with our return... More

This was our THIRD, 3rd, stay at Punta Caracol. And each time we extend our stay. We are totally absorbed in the beauty of the setting and the ambience of the Casitas on stilts in the water. The Casitas are designed to enjoy the splendor of the natural setting that surrounds them by the water on all sides. The owners... More
