This is a very unique property and is deserving of the press coverage that it has received. The bungalows are rustic but lovely and their overwater location in a very remote area makes them a very comfortable way to enjoy time in a less developed part of Panama. The best things about the property are: - distinctive / unique experience... more

Went there with my wife for our honeymoon. We only stayed there one night (you don't need any more). We traveled around Panama (Boca Chica, Santa Catalina, Boquete, Bocas del Toro). Overall PC had the worst accomodations and food. The location is great, the concept is great, but it ends there. I understand the place is an "eco lodge" but... more

As the power boat took us from the shacks overlooking Bocas del Toro I had no idea what to expect of our 'luxury eco lodge'... Bocas certainly wasn't anything to write home about. But my hesitation vanished as we approached the quaint over the water villas with their bright sunny paint jobs contrasting against the sparkling teal sea. Check in... more

We stayed four nights at Punta Caracol. It is a romantic, gorgeous setting for the cabinas as well as the restaurant. Everything is clean and organized. The pictures tell it all...you're staring at the ocean, the sunset, the fish in the water. You can be lazy and hang out or go on their excursions. The people are friendly and helpful.... more

We stayed 3 nights at Punta Coracal for our honeymoon. The location was gorgeous, rooms spectacular, and the staff was very polite and friendly. We enjoyed the sea kayaks and snorkeling and really just relaxing. The welcome cocktail was delicious, and when they had things 2 make drinks (they had white rum for one day only, no limes) they were... more

We stayed here for three nights. We also stayed two nights at the much cheaper Eclypse de Mar. Punta Caracol was beautiful. However, the rooms were nicer at the Eclypse de Mar. In addition, the same activities were half the price at Ecylpse de Mar. The service was okay. The visability at both places was the exact same- it depended... more

Is anyone else as confused as we were about the reviews for this hotel? They are all over the board, so we were very interested in seeing this place for ourselves. We thought since we're not food snobs and we enjoy each others' company we wouldn't find the same problems as others. Unfortunately the bad outweighed the good for us... more

This place is AMAZING and lovely. If you can spend the money, do it. All meals are included (you could order 2 or entrees if you wanted to), the food is really good - despite what other reviews say (not canned like someone mentioned!), the staff is super friendly and accomodating, the place is pristine and peaceful. These islands are... more
