Not impressed with this resort. It is run-down looking and the smell of sewer gases as you walk along the beach is unmistakable. The option of swimming in the beach even if it wasn't rocky is out of the question with the concern of sewage being dumped into the ocean water.

Playa Tortuga? The beach is too small for turtles and one cannot walk along it to more beach. Others have referred to the smell of drains on the balconies - that probably comes from the outlet onto the largest of the beaches. We and fellow travellers noticed that our rooms smelt but the smells varied. First impression was bad as... More

Things to know: You have to pay extra for a 3rd person even though the room can clearly sleep 4, and 4 people are not all allowed in the same room for whatever reason. The beach is not great, it's very short with rocks and no good swimming area. Deflated volleyballs and broken ping pong paddles The food at the... More

My girlfriend and I had booked this place & absolutely loved it. Warm welcome at front desk by English speaking staff (we're Canadian). Room was clean, cool & had a great ocean view. Pool was nice & relaxed, perfect for beers. Complimentary buffet breakfast was good, so make sure you're up early to get it. Getting to the main strip... More

We had 3 days/2 nights here. On arrival the drilling started. There was no wifi - they blamed it on the rain and mountains. I registered a complaint and asked to see the manager. That was ignored and no one came back to me. 24 hours later a note appeared under the door apologising for the inconvenience - but that... More

This hotel was a recomendation from a Panamanian friend, unfortunately they had never been there. Very average hotel out of town through a generally rough area. Not a real beach hotel at all as it is very rough waves onto a rocky coastline. The pool is the only attraction here which would be nice for children. Rooms are worn down and... More

The location is beautiful and the front desk is helpful. The biggest drawback are 1. a musty odor which I would not expect at the price level of this hotel. 2. No beach. 3. A staff which could use more language training supplied by the hotel.

The room, physically, is OK. The queen beds & linens are fine. Unfortunately, the room smells of Clorox but perhaps that better than the odor from outside which is of sewer gas. Asked if we could change rooms but was told they were "fully booked", - of course. The indifference at the front desk seemed quite well practiced and was... More

This is as very, very average hotel away from the drag of Bocas Town. It's a cab, bus ride in to town. Now, everything else is just wrong for one with this price tag. Rooms are basic, gave me a twin instead of a double, and smaller than you think from pictures. Breakfast, like everything else, is an additional cost.... More

Pick another island. Plain and simple. The food was good enough. The rooms were old- cracked tiles on the floor, bath mats on floor beside bed for "rugs"and the pool chairs looked mildewed. Marginal water pressure, temperature fluctuated. The desk staff was OK. Restaurant/bar staff was better. No beach - but knew that up front. Ocean view and large Palapa... More
