We stayed at Traveler Hotel for 3 nights in March. It's not a bad choice considering the price. We went to Taitung to bike some of the paths around the city. The hotel had free bikes which was very helpful. The bikes are not in the best shape, but they are adequate for the type of riding. There isn't a... More

The hotel looks a bit old, but it is in the centre of the city and is very reasonably priced. Service was friendly. The back of the reception works also as a car park. We parked there our bicycles. We got a small room with basic amenities, but clean, quiet and with free WIFI. Good value for an overnight stay.

As the other reviews stated, this place is a good value if you are just looking for a cheap, clean, safe spot to stay for the night. Great as a transit stop on your way to Green Island or Orchid Island. Staff very helpful, good location in center of town.

the hotel is theoretically at a very convenient location, but it is so darn difficult to locate it. nobody seemed to know where it is, and their signboard isn't prominent too.. in actual fact, it is just 2 blocks away from the bus terminal, the 2 famous food stores selling stinky tofu and meetaimak, and the busy marketing street (fruit... We booked last minute over the phone and they were extremely accommodating. The price was a good deal for what we received: breakfast and information about our ferry to Green Island. The room was clean and much more than was expected given what we paid. Would definitely recommend staying here for a night, especially if you're just looking for a... More

PROS: - Very clean room - Very affordable room rate (although there were plenty of other hotels in the same area with much lower rates, but probably lesser known and publicised) - Location was great, just off the famous Fruit Street (with lots of good food) in Taitung. Although finding it was a problem initially, as it is located on... More

the hotel is very good, clean safe and is not so expensive. the staff is also very kind and helpful, they just take us at the bus stop when we arrived (we were a kind of lost)... The Hotel also offer discount for the Jhiben bath and is located nearby the bus station

Pros: Very central in downtown Taidong, and fairly inexpensive. As mentioned in other reviews, the front desk staff are friendly and helpful Cons: The general management is clearly poor and the hotel is run on the cheap. The advertised WiFi just doesn't work reliably. It appears, it disappears, then it appears but won't connect. The desk staff can't do anything.... More

Came here to try and rent a scooter with an international licence. They wouldn't do it (unless you have bike international licence), however the manager (I assumed), was very very helpful and kind, and helped us book a car instead as it appears impossible to get a scooter in Taitung without a Taiwanese licence (it is possible in Hualien). The... More
