We love this hotel. Get a room high up as possible. Lovely views of the lake. Staff plentiful and attentive - 3 or 4 come to the room to do turn down, replace towels and light mosquito repellent candle on balcony. The rooms are amazing. The restaurants are a bit expensive, and can be full - we were recommended Sun... More

We decided on this hotel after spending several weeks on our Asian holiday as our final spot before returning home. Not only was the service at this hotel FAR better than ever expected, the room with balcony, the food, view of lake and surrounding countryside, the pool, and relaxation it afforded us in the spa was very much appreciated. EVERYTHING... More

We cannot fault the location nor the service. We checked in after dinner. While some friends checked in at the counter, others were directed to the lounge area for a cup of tea. The room is of reasonable size equipped with disc player etc. There is a good size balcony whereby you can enjoy the view and sunrise. The layout... More

From the moment you check in - you feel like a star. Staff are extremely polite, room we've got is breathtaking, lake view with spacious private patio. SPA experience is definitely one of the best. I enjoyed the breakfast as well but just too short of the stay.

As we entered the hotel lobby, we were instantly greeted by hotel staff who served us tea and snacks. While they were busy getting our room ready, we got to enjoy the beautiful lake view and just relax. They brought everything to us (paperwork, etc), and we never had to stand at the counter. So right from the beginning, we... More

Breathtaking scenery. Beautiful rooms. Cosy feel. (We had the fireplace on, even during summer.) Service good too. Only thing that was not really good, was the food (coffee house). Spa was excellent as well. I did a facial. As cliche as it may sound, words cannot describe why I would recommend Lalu. I am left speechless...it's a three hour journey,... More

Two families travelling together and had been told that this was the hotel to stay at. Rooms were great, a little tired but still very good. The view superb and the staff professional. I must say that I have had the experience and would recommend the Lalu but I won't be back because the Sun Moon Lake thing is a... More

This is a great Hotel in Sun Moon Lake. The grounds are beautiful and you can actualy touch the lake. The service and rooms are spectacular! We got a 2 bedroom villa. It was worth it. Large rooms on there own but even nicer with a living the same between the two. Only one room had the soaking tub but... More

The view was stunning, the service staff helpful and polite, and the food was good. There's a path next to the pool that guests can take down to the small town - shuishe, but it's not accessible when it's dark. Rooms are very large, well designed but also very tired. In spite of the prices, the rooms definitely cannot be... More
